In the middle of my olympic armchair critiques last night, it came to mind that Brisbane have won the rights to host the Olympics in 2032(fair dinkum).

IF Australia would ever win the rights to host the World Cup- where would the final be hosted?

Personally, I’d stick with Homebush as it’s a rectangular pitch, although a mate of mine reckons Suncorp would be top notch because of the atmosphere.

Hard to not feel like we’ve been robbed as a nation tonight.

Our golden girls are up for a red-hot crack at making the semi-finals tonight.

This will be Australia’s first time facing Great Britain in football at an Olympic level.



Both Sam Kerr & Ellen White both have three goals to their names within this tournament leading into tonight.



I have full faith in Gusto to rally our troops and get the result needed to progress. Do you?

With Dukes, Akka & McGree ruled out by suspension, is this how you would line-up against Egypt tonight? 



With our future well and truly within our hands, a win will solidify our progression into the quarter-finals.

Arnie and the boys will have to play their cards right against a strong Egyptian side who held Spain level in Game 1 and narrowly lost to Argentina. 



With Dukes out- who is our best attacking threat?

On a side note,I’d love to see Piscopo & Devlin get some minutes tonight.

Tonights the night. The Australian Messi- does he start for you?

After our heroic 2-0 win vs Argentina and the moment of magic from the little man, the boys are humming.

With the referee issuing 7 yellow cards for our boys including (our attacking options) Watts and Dukes, Arnie has a few things to consider.

Who's your front three?
I'd go with Tilio-Duke-Wales.

Score Predicitions for tonight? I believe we'll give em a game. Keeping them at level scores would be a great result IMO.

Matildas fall short to Sweden 4-2, not the result we were after. 


Huge performance from our players on the pitch- Sweden seems to be the benchmark of where nations are at within this tournament. Onto the next- we play USA who come off a 3-0 defeat to Sweden. 👀
