Had a fantastic day yesterday at the Paradice Board Game Convention in Worthing. It was great to meet so many passionate board/card gamers, and catch up with our kickstarter backers alike.
A great event all round!
Great news! Backers have finally started to receive their copies of our first game ‘The Family’ on Kickstarter.
A huge heartfelt to everyone who backed the game, helped us playtest, helped us showcase, helped us design and helped us manufacture the game.
If you draw the ‘Hitman Card’ in our new game ‘The Family’ then you will remove 2 rival Associates from the game completely. These hitmen can be brutal!
Draw one of these Recover Cards and you can get your Associates out of Hospital and back onto your Family Card, or, use the card to put a rival Associate into the Hospital.
The choice is yours!
Your Associates go to Jail if you draw a Police Card or someone uses their Jailbreak Card to put you in Jail.
Your Associates go to Hospital if they lose in a fight against a rival.
You can get them out of Jail and Hospital by drawing Jailbreak/ Recover Cards, or by occupying the corresponding Bonus Location Cards.
Here’s a few of the Associates you can employ in the game to protect you and take out your rivals!
Draw a ‘Jailbreak’ card and you can recover 1, 2 or 3 of your Associates from Jail. Place them back on your ‘Family Card’ and they will protect you from attack.
Draw a ‘Police’ card and you have to place your Associates in Jail!
If you hold the ‘Mole’ card, then you can negate this effect and save your Associates from incarceration.

Hi everyone, Just an update. Things are moving forwards still and we’ve got Shipquest helping with the fulfilment. The product is on route imminently from the manufacturer by sea freight and if possible, I’ll include tracking. We are getting the bulk delivered to the UK and then distributed to all of you backers from here. Your custom cards (if you bought any) will be sent separately but should arrive at the same time as the base game. As soon as we get any kind of timeframe for arrival into the UK I’ll let you all know. Many thanks! Tom
The Family has 8 Location Cards that each grant you a bonus. If you occupy your own Crime Family Base Location then you get even more bonuses!
Base locations:
East End Gangsters = Bookies
Mafia = Pizzeria
Yakuza = Casino
Mexican Cartel = Launderette
'The Family' puts you in the shoes of a crime lord. This version includes the East End Gangsters, Yakuza, Mafia and Cartel and each has their own perk, and their own Base Location.
Your Associates who guard you in the game will be placed on these white circles on your 'Family Card'.
