Today I want to remind you all to:
LAUGH. LAUGH IT ALL OFF.
Here is a video of Quince La Vince and I laughing. We hope that we can spread the laughter to you all, let it be contagious! Laughter is strong medicine and it brings people together. It also produces healthy physical and emotional changes in the body. Did you know that “Each time you smile, you activate and release feel-good neurotransmitters that relax your body, lowers stress, and can even lower heart rate and blood pressure? These neurotransmitters; dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin, are then released into your body. The endorphins act as a natural pain reliever, and the serotonin lifts your mood.” No? Okay, neither did I because I googled this s**t so shoutout to Stephanie Wilson (https://www.31daily.com/5-ways-smile-can-change-world/). What? Don’t judge me, It’s 2022!!! If you don’t know something— GOOGLE IT & fact check it ofc. Usually, I do not believe things on the internet; But, laughing is something that helped me get through difficult times.
Additionally, I chose this video as my first post on this page because I want to present the real me. I will not always look my best. And, I am not perfect. I want my personality to shine brighter than my highlight. When I post a picture or a video on social media platforms, I constantly think: Do I look good enough? Am I skinny enough? Does my makeup look nice? Is my outfit cute? What will people say?
I am tired of the beauty expectations. Bitch, I’ll look like my pictures on the days I wanna look like my pictures lol. Today I chose CATFISH. I want to welcome you all to this brave space but if you’re a homophobe, a racist, or a narrow-minded person you CAN NOT SIT WITH US until you’re open to learning.
My purpose is to be as authentic as I can be, to share my stories, open conversations with everyone, build community, connect with you all, and hopefully- bring a smile to your face. ( I’m a bitch sometimes tho so if I get you heated— it be like that).
Lastly, thank you all for following/liking my new page AndyXCha! Honestly, I almost cried after receiving 10 likes on this page. 10 likes may not seem a lot but can you imagine speaking in front of 10 people in real life? Yea, that’s a lot!
