Hello everyone, it’s been a while again!
What with all the fun we’re allowed to have again and having two little bambino’s keeping me busy, I haven’t had a lot of time to spend on the iPad drawing lately, here’s one I made earlier - or a couple of months ago to be honest, I’ve been keeping it in the store cupboard!
Just a Wednesday evening reminder from me that as wonderful as grand gestures are, the little things can make a lasting impression just as much so make sure you remember that when going about your day!

After my hospital stay for a gallbladder infection in Feb, I managed to get a pregnancy related liver condition which meant I had to be induced and I gave birth to my baby girl in early April so there’s been lots going on!!

I’ve always known that being nice to people goes a long way as you never know how big an impact you can make on someone through showing kindness and compassion.
Having now been on a hospital ward for ten days, I’ve had all manner of doctors, nurses and healthcare workers help in my road to recovery, and every single one of them has shown kindness, respect and niceness. It really goes a very VERY long way.
It’s nice to be nice. Simple.
It’s a new week, it’s a new month!
Hello everyone, it genuinely only feels like a few days ago where I posted hello to February so I don’t know where that went!
This looks set to be THE month we’ve all been waiting for, the month where things start to slowly change for the better, long term. Let’s continue to stay safe and keep the hope alive, it’s so close, I can almost smell it!
Usually when you see a sunshiney pic from me, it’s because we’ll all be seeing sunshine out of the window... BUT this is for my little man who turns 3 today and thanks to me getting a nasty bout of gallstones and a stay in hospital, I haven’t seen him since last Saturday and won’t be seeing him today which is making my heart hurt BIG TIME!!
I’ve already had two emotional breakdowns this morning and I’m sure there will be more but he’s happy with his Daddy and doesn’t know any different, it’s just me who is struggling!
So, this is for everyone who has their very own personal ray of sunshine in their lives who they just cannot wait to see ☀️
It’s going to be ok... I remember this being one of the first quotes I was ever fully aware of and actually took note. I was probably in my early teens and this one has always stuck with me.
Sometimes it can feel like it’s all over and that things will never be ok, but the waters do eventually still and whilst it takes time for things to progress into happiness and feeling free of your demons, things can start to feel ok... and that’s pretty ok with me!

It can be easy to get caught up with comparisons in in real life or in virtual life because of everything else that’s out there but remember that being yourself is your superpower so be bold and unapologetic because all of us being you-nique is what makes the world wonderful.
So my bestest girl reminded me this afternoon that it’s the 22nd December today... which means yesterday was the winter solstice which meeeeans that today is just a teensy bit longer in daylight hours than yesterday.
No, nothing has changed in reality but this metaphor has made my thoughts feel less heavy and I genuinely feel a bit better about EVERYTHING.
I know the next few months are still going to be very difficult, but hope and love will always win eventually ♥️♥️♥️
I drew this a few weeks ago, then it stopped being an if and what we’d all been hoping for became reality so it felt unnecessary to post.
THEN, yesterday happened. So, after more tears and feeling majorly pi**ed off at the world this morning, I’ve found an inner calm and have decided to gracefully accept the card we’ve been dealt.
Despite all of the emotion the last 24 hours has brought on, I know this is for the best and the greatest gift we can give and receive this year is the gift of keeping our loved ones safe and well.
So, I’m looking ahead and keeping the faith that soon, the fates will allow us to be together and we will look back on this year as the year we all learnt a little about ourselves.

Anyone else get caught up in The Land Of What Ifs?
I started this quote waaaaaaay back earlier in the year and never got it to a point where it was finished or where I wanted to post it.
I think it’s because I was probably still far too caught up in the first half of what it’s saying.
After some really positive changes this year, I’ve finally started to open my eyes and rather that say ‘what if it does?’ Go with the thought process of ‘what if it doesn’t?’
Thankfully, because of that, I now enjoy so many more moments that make the best memories.
Last night I had a little yoga zoom session after a VERY long time away from it and was reminded that being aware of inhaling and exhaling is ridiculously effective for so many things. For calming the soul, for making your mind still, for grounding yourself and even more simply than that - for a good nights sleep afterwards - well, that is until the toddler climbs into bed with you at 3am and gives you a 4cm space to sleep in!
Just try it from time to time for a couple of minutes, in through the nose, out through the mouth, then repeat. You might be surprised at what it does for you.
Definitely not my own words here but after seeing one of my besties post this quote the other day it really resonated with me.
I’ve made no secret of my aversion to change on here in the past, but being surrounded by the great outdoors lately (by choice as well as having no other option!!! 😆) really opens your eyes to what is around you and how beautiful things can be if you look upwards and outwards. I’ve had a few changes lately and I have to say, I’m slowly realising that change can most definitely be beautiful!

Three weeks since moving house and I’ve still been pretty preoccupied with unpacking and organising followed by conking out early so I haven’t been sitting with my iPad in the evenings like I usually would be.

Hello everyone, it’s been a while! I’ve moved house and all sorts has been going on and seemingly in that time, we’re reverting back to earlier points in the year where we couldn’t see the ones we love most.
I really feel for everybody in Tier 3 and feel it’s only a matter of time before we’ll be there again in my area.
All of my family are in Tier 2 so it’s outdoor rainy walks for us if we want to see eachother!
It’s hard to stay positive when we’re surrounded by rising numbers and everything but I’ve always got my postcard collection on sale if you want to send a little sunshine and love to those that you’re missing at the moment.

Space. It occurred to me today that this word has reached new levels in the last 6 months.
Previously space to me would mean head space, a parking space or even who’s taking up most space on what side of the bed 😂 but this year, I’ve certainly never been so aware of the space between fellow human beings. 2 metres to be exact. Perhaps strangers not so much, in fact, sometimes that side of it is welcome - but thinking about space between the people you care about will always feel alien to me. Just today’s observation.

This is a word that I’ve been struggling to achieve lately so I thought if I write it down it might come true... wishful thinking? Perhaps! 😆
It can be hard when all of everything that goes on in daily life makes your brain feel like a huge jumble, but I’m going with the one thing at a time motto as things are about to get pretty busy. And, I’m just enjoying this pretty colour palette! Enjoy your sunny evenings people 😘
Refresh... ever want to hit refresh on a day? A week? A year? (that’s probably a bit more apt than usual this year!!)
It can feel like an impossible task but nothing is insurmountable and it’s ok to stop, catch your breath then refresh even if it’s not the plan you had in mind.
It’s not always easy to change your mindset but a little freshen up is always a good thing!
Yes this is inspired by Natasha Bedingfield’s super sunny 2008 song (that I’ve just found out didn’t actually get released as a single in the UK but anyway, that’s enough music trivia) it is also inspired the late afternoon sunshine in my garden today. It really did feel like one of the last pocketfuls of summer sunshine we might have this year and it was beautiful.
And metaphorically speaking, although it might be gloomy sometimes, try to keep a little pocketful of sunshine of your own to give yourself a break from time to time. Whatever it may be, however small, if it brings you joy even momentarily then it’s worth keeping it close by.

Does anyone else find they ask the opposite of this question more often than not?
I almost always look at what could go wrong before I look at what could go right but I’m making a promise to myself right here, right now (with you all as my witnesses!!) that I’m going to try and look at allllll the positive things first just as much as the potential negatives because mostly, when you break it down, there are more good things to be taken from things than I give them credit for!!
Those that know me know that I’m quite (very!😂) impatient at times but I’m also a perfectionist which isn’t always a great combination!!
As I’ve got older I’ve come to realise that everything happens in a certain order over a certain time, for a reason so it can work in your favour to try to embrace the journey and trust that we’re exactly where we should be because fate has got our back!

Kindfulness... it’s a state of being just as much as mindfulness is. It costs nothing and makes all the difference. is used a helluva lot but that’s because it’s SO important.
We should check in with ourselves from time to time to make sure we are being as kind and empathetic as we can be.

Our brains have a very clever way of telling us that everything we think is the truth.
I’ve got news. What we think is most definitely NOT always true, which for a classic catastrophizer like myself is quite difficult to separate sometimes!
Whilst I believe in trusting your gut instinct as I’ve said in previous posts, I’ve learnt in the last year that sometimes what we THINK to be true and what we KNOW to be true are two very different things.
For me, weighing things up and trying to look at things from an opposing viewpoint helps me remove the intrusive thoughts and stick to real facts. It doesn’t always happen straight away but I get there eventually!
So if like me, your mind can take you off on a really frustrating and fearful tangent sometimes, just remember not to believe everything you think.
I’ve been quiet on here this week as we spent the week in sometimes sunny, sometimes rainy but nevertheless beautiful Hove!
When I’m near the seaside, the true Aquarian comes out in me and I HAVE to walk in the sea even if it’s just for a few minutes so on a trip to Eastbourne yesterday, my toes went for a little dip in the English Channel and it felt glorious! There is something about being in the sea and hearing the waves that makes me feel super happy and ridiculously calm.
