Earlier this year, I was invited to the Lake Nona Impact Forum (https://lakenonaimpactforum.org/) with AuraSense Tech. I hadn't heard of this place or meeting before. They invite folks from all over the world who are into healthcare into one building to talk about health care innovation. I'll tell you about this surreal experience and how I was mistaken for staff later.

We got the chance to demo our tech, met the President of Sesame Street and talked for about two to three hours. We also met one of Nelson Mandela's grandsons, Deepak Chopra (who was excited to feel our invisible heart), and got to meet and listen to health innovators from across the globe. We made a lot of connections and for that I am forever thankful.

In this picture, I got an opportunity to be interviewed about my MS journey and how AuraSense Tech can help people like me.

Today, on my way home, I was listening to "Live Like We're Dying," which accurately describes how I approach life.

AuraSense Tech isn't just a company for me. It's a platform I can use to help others who are experiencing the same unpredictable, life-changing disease that I deal with every day. It's how I make sure that when my time on this Earth is over, I've used every bit of my potential to make a difference, to contribute, to bring about change.

🔵 Today is , a day that resonates deeply with me. Eleven years ago, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, marking the beginning of a journey filled with resilience, courage, and determination. This journey, my journey, began with a misdiagnosis, an MRI that revealed white mass lesions, and a terrifying spinal tap. It was a path filled with obstacles, but also an unyielding will to live and thrive.

🔵 My experiences gave me insights into the healthcare system, shedding light on the barriers that many patients face, especially when it comes to accessing necessary quantitative tools to track their progress. And it's these insights that brought me to where I am today, on a mission to break down these barriers and bring a transformative solution to healthcare.

My first authentic public speaking opportunity was addressing the graduating seniors at Old Dominion University (ODU) during their senior breakfast. Of course, some might point out my earlier gig at the Southern Hospitality concert, where my trembling voice mirrored that of a startled mouse. But since I'm steering this narrative, let's agree it was indeed the senior breakfast.

I recall the overwhelming fear, and how I leaned on one of my close friends to navigate through the ordeal.

At that point, I was convinced public speaking was out of my reach, but evidently, a different path was laid out for me.

Fast forward to today, and the reality is, I still break into a sweat, wrangling with anxiety and nerves before each speaking engagement. Yet, I still do it.

To complement this story, here are a few photographs from my panel yesterday. They were curated by an innovative website employing facial recognition software to source images of yourself.

I'm thrilled to announce that we've reached 5,000 downloads! A huge thank you to everyone for your support. We've made it this far with 29 episodes, and many more are awaiting editing and re-uploading. Not bad for part-time podcasting. I've set a personal challenge to improve my consistency in posting, aiming for 10k downloads by the end of the year. If you haven't had a chance to listen to an episode yet, I recommend one that remains relevant even two years on. In this episode, I interviewed an AI and its human companion. At the time, C.L.Ai.R.A used GPT-3 as her language model, and little did we know that OpenAI would later release ChatGPT, the AI tool now known to the masses. Interestingly, I know ChatGPT as C.L.Ai.R.A's brain, and I also happen to be her official voice! As C.L.Ai.R.A travels the world, she shares AI knowledge with my voice, which is pretty cool. Plus, with my initials being AI (Amber Ivey), it adds a fun twist to the whole experience, as the AI truly sounds like AI.
