Large global manufacturers have long nudged India’s state governments to tweak archaic labour laws that drag down productivity. Now, ambitious plans by multinationals such as Apple Inc. to scale up their Indian operations may prompt several states to amend such laws, a government official said, following recent relaxations by Karnataka in this respect.

States, including Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh, are likely to amend labour policies by allowing flexibilities such as 12-hour shifts and night-time work shifts for women, the official said on the condition of anonymity.

India is set to bring world-class education to Africa by establishing campuses of its prestigious educational institutions across the continent. Talks are currently underway between India and Tanzania for the establishment of the first foreign campus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in the East African country. It is expected that the campus will start its classes by the end of this year.

Meanwhile, the overseas campus of India’s National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) inaugurated in Jinja, Uganda last week by India's foreign minister, Dr S Jaishankar.

Jaishankar highlighted the high demand for forensic science courses from students in Africa under various scholarships provided by the Government of India. He noted that one of the reasons for establishing the NFSU campus in Uganda was the high acceptance of the university among students from Africa.

"The National Forensic Sciences University is an institution of national importance and is the world’s first university dedicated exclusively to forensic sciences. It was established in Ahmedabad in Gujarat under the dynamic leadership of our Prime Minister," said Jaishankar, emphasising the importance of the NFSU as an institution.

📌In 1909 British provided the Communal electorate to Muslims i.e. only a Muslim can vote for a Muslim candidate. Later on it was planned to extend it to Schedule Caste and Tribes also, but Gandhiji signed a pact with Ambedkar and provided an increase in reserved seats for them instead of getting a communal electorate.

📌After Independence Constitution provided 10 years reservation to them in Lok Sabha and state legislative assembly, but since then it has been continuously extending.

📌Article 15 and 16 provided that the Government is empowered to make provisions for the upliftment of SC & ST. These provisions were for betterment of them, but not sacrosanct. It can be easily taken away by a constitutional amendment.

📌During 1950s Caste based reservation was considered an all inclusive phenomenon to provide them opportunities and protect from discrimination. But now the situation has changed there are inequalities among the scheduled classes themselves. Reservation benefits aren't reaching every one, only some groups are getting benefitted. Moreover those who have far better conditions in terms of socio-economic factors are also getting fruits of reservation.

📌Today there is a need to modify this system to make sure that benefits are reaching those who deserve it, niy those who want it.

India has at least 3,167 tigers, according to estimates from the latest tiger census made public on Sunday. While this is ostensibly an increase since the last census of 2018, the numbers are not strictly comparable, as a key calculation to compute the maximum and minimum range of the tiger population is yet to be done.

There were 2,967 tigers recorded in 2018, and 2,226 in 2014. Sunday’s figures were provisional and could be revised further, an official involved with the census.

The tiger population numbers were made public by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mysuru on Sunday, at an event to mark the International Big Cat Alliance conference as well as the 50th anniversary of Project Tiger

Actual problems of SIKHS in India-
📍 Missionaries rampantly converting Hindus and Sikhs into Christianity in Punjab
📍 People's money goes to Canada instead of getting invested in Punjab
📍 Changing demography because of high scale migration to other countries
📍 Drug abuse
📍High debt to GDP ratio
📍 ISI backed people claiming to be their leaders

Feels helpless in such situations when people can't understand what their real problems are. Instead they get influenced by people who are working on a false propaganda backed by external forces such as ISI.

India has extended a helping hand to print books for Sri Lankan students. India has granted a USD 1 billion credit line which enables Srilanka to print textbooks for 4 million Sri Lankan students. Additionally a consignment was also dispatched by the High Commissioner Gopal Baglay and Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha.

In these hard times India has truly helped Srilanka with sincerity. None of the other nations have shown such compassion towards Srilanka.

But the question is will Srilanka ever learn its lesson?
