This weekend I will be at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival at Windermere. Proud to be involved around so many talented artists. This is the first chance to get a copy of the brand new “Victor Vamps” book as well as “Bandit Cat Crew” Vol.1 & 2

On the Sunday I’ll also be doing a workshop at 12noon on how to design heroes and villains! Come along, say hello and pick up a great series of action and thrills!

Today is the day! Bandit Cat Crew is at Wicked Comic Con located at Hynes Convention Center Boston USA. As a UK comic artist and writer this is a big deal to have my work hit the greatest events in America. Bandit cat may have had a small start but it’s starting to grow into something special! Aspiring artists at shows often ask me “what advice can you give me?”

The reality is that being an artist is tough and often unrewarding from a financial standpoint. I work as hard as anyone else In their job but without the guarantee of a wage. So many times I’ve wanted to quit but I can’t. It’s not about being stubborn it’s about truly believing that you can succeed and that you’re happiness is more important than a paycheck.

The joy comes from creating. The dread comes from people liking - but not committing to your work.

The truth is we do what we must, we face hardships but art is a journey for me. 100 miles of bad road but eventually we all arrive where our destination lies.
