Hey everyone, I wanted to put this out there to see if any pro wrestling fan, videographer or video archivists (especially from the Southern California area) had a specific match we’re looking for.

We’re currently working on a memorial tribute video for our late friend “Shooter” Tony Jones who sadly passed away unexpectedly earlier this month.

We have a lot of archive footage of Tony throughout his career that we’re going through. We have a recorded video conversation with Tony where he mentioned that he was looking for a match he had with The Prototype (John Cena) at UPW in the 2000’s in Southern California. He said it was one of Cena’s 1st pro matches and that Tony was booked to wrestle against him in San Diego, CA (Might’ve been Santa Ana, CA). We tracked the date down to be around May 24th or May 25th of 2000.

I’m looking for this footage for 2 reasons.
One is because I think it would be nice to include clips of the match for Tony’s memorial video, and also, Tony stated to me in the recorded conversation that he was personally hunting that footage so his young son can see it.

At one point Tony reached out to UPW promoter
Rick Bassman and their videographer at the time, who both confirmed the tape exists but they no longer had it in their possession.

So I’m just reaching out to California pro wrestling community, to see if anyone had a recording of this match anywhere. I think it would make for such a great memory for Tony Jones’ son and family to have.

Had the honor of being interviewed on Trifulca Media podcast with Omar and Gerardo. They’re a podcast based out of Puerto Rico and we talked for nearly 2 hours about our Bisontennial: The Story of Bison Smith documentary. It was great to hear their personal stories of watching Bison Smith in IWA Puerto Rico and how they loved the documentary.

Sorry. We had some issues uploading the project last night. But here's our latest feature length documentary on Mark "Bison" Smith. We'd like to thank everyone who participated in this project. We still have many more stories to tell about Bison Smith. So we'll be releasing individual stories from his wrestling peers in the upcoming months.

This is a feature documentary tribute to our late friend and pro wrestler, Mark "Bison"Smith. His story is told through interviews with his family, friends, mentors, peers in pro wrestling, old archives footage and photos and even through his personal journal entries.

We follow Bison's career from his early life, high school and college sports accolades and his pro wrestling journey as told by the people who loved him.

Sometimes work and life schedules can get crazy and we sincerely apologize for the delay. Thank you for your patience. We assure you that we are trying to make this the best tribute for our late friend Mark “Bison” Smith.

The trailer for our upcoming documentary, Bisontennial: The Story of Bison Smith, is now live in remembrance of his death anniversary (Nov. 22nd 2011)

Bison Smith was our good friend and we wanted to pay tribute to his legacy both in life and pro wrestling. This is our way of immortalizing the memory Bison for his family, friends, peers and fans.

The full documentary will be available this January 2023. Stay tuned.
