The boys (Davin, Rylan and also Davins roommate/Teammate Josh he is basically family)started spring football a couple of days ago. They have to be at workouts by like 5:45 in the morning and stay busy pretty much all day between workouts, classes, mandatory tutoring (they make all atheletes do this almost daily you literally would have to work hard to fail) but today Rose has a field trip to State and they made sure to meet her and her classmates for lunch. They spoke with quite a few of the boys (all 6th graders like Rose) that want to play football next year and they were so excited to talk them! I’m so proud of the great big brothers they are and the awesome role models they have grown into!

Day 41 of walking a mile or more per day. When I started my walking about a year before covid hit I weighed 382 pounds. I stopped walking/dieting for a bit and I gained back to 311 (as of 1/01/2023) I now weigh 289. I have about 100-110 more to go. My son Davin is planning on going to the NFL draft in 2024 (that’s the plan for now but could change of course) so I am trying to be at least 200 by the time football season starts in September! Gotta have goals!

Welcome!!! My name is Joy, I am a mom to 9 kids (8 living and one in heaven) I also have 2 grand babies, I am the owner of Joyful Movers located in NC. My oldest sons Davin and Rylan Vann play football at NC State. I created this page to show our life with football, kids, my weight loss journey (gettin ready for the NFL draft party for Davin in a year or so) and a whole other slew of stuff to put out in the world!
