(listen back here: https://3mdr.allclassweb.com/waxoid )
- Underground Lovers as always with 'Seven Day Weekend'
- The BBC Orchestra 'Lawrence of Arabia' theme
- Adrianne Lenker 'ruined'. The final track of this amazing record
- Galaxie 500 'Listen the Snow is Falling'. The Yoko Ono track taken from their 1990 live recording 'Copenhagen' and re-released for 2020 RSD
- Cave with 'Dusty' from the 2018 'Allways'
- Mogwai 'You're Lionel Ritchie' from one of my many favourite albums of theirs 'Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will' (2011)
- The Redlands 'Give Me A Try' From Mildura. Great Album 'Sticks to Stones' (2022). One of my favourite combinations included with this track - banjo and trumpet
- The Clouds 'Hieronymus' from the 1991 single - how good, how good!
- Bonny Light Horseman 'grinch/funeral' & 'Old Dutch' from the double LP 'Keep Me On Your Mind/See You Free' (2024)
- Leyla McCalla 'Tree'. This album just keeps getting better and better!!! 'Sun Without The Heat' (2024)
- Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers 'Lester Left Town' (1960)
- Sierra Ferrell with my favourite track from the album (at the moment) 'I Could Drive You Crazy' from 'Trail of Flowers' (2024)
- Carme López Fernández from the most amazing 'Quintela'. We heard the third movement 'Avós. A Pepe e Manuela'. I may be wrong, but I believe Avós may mean 'Granparents' in Galician (Galego?). If so, this music makes so much sense! Experimental Galician bagpipe music. Check it out: https://carmelopez.bandcamp.com/album/quintela
- Penguin Café Orchestra 'Vega' from 'Union Cafe' (1993) just beautiful.
- Cornershop 'Sleep On The Left Side' from 'When I Was Born for the 7th Time' (1997)
- Straitjacket Fits 'She Speeds' as always...
See you all next week.
