In the first episode of the new series, veteran Pod De Deux host (and NYC DN&C Editor) Michael Mahany joins Ellyn Marie Marsh, Kevin Michael Raponey to chat with Mrs. Doubtfire Broadway’s Lorin Latarro-Kopell.

Lorin talks about her beginnings as a dancer, her time at The Juilliard School, Martha Graham Dance, & MOMIX, her 14 Broadway show career as a performer, & plays a little with the team.

Since the Tony Awards have been postponed, Pod De Deux’s “Women Of Broadway” series is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the NINE female choreographers who were slated to bring TEN musicals to Broadway in this unprecedented season.

“Broadway might be shut down, but when you look at what was scheduled to happen this year in terms of choreography, a very unprecedented and far more feminine line was appearing in the sand.”

While it’s true that show-biz can’t escape the fact that it holds a long and storied history of under-appreciating the contributions of women in leadership positions, but 2020 presented theatre-lovers with something never before seen. It was completely dominated by female choreographers.
