Asburied In Time

Never had such a positive experience at any screening or festival before this one tonight at the Nyack Village Theatre film festival. We sold out the show and plus some. Never had such positive comments and feedback on a film before. So many nice questions about the film and my experience with james as a friend and an editor from people who legitimately were interested. Everyone learned so much about Asbury Park and how modern development affects residents and the history of Asbury Park. Very therapeutic to experience this. I'm very thankful his family enjoyed it and thankful For Richard Quinn for hosting my favorite film festival. New project coming soon.

Asburied In Time

I am at a loss for words because I am please but upset to announce we were accepted into Jersey Shore Film Festival. James family members have asked me to post an update on the acceptance date and time of the festival details. James was my editor, my camera guy, my last minute do anything on set go to person and one of my best friends who I've known around 10 years. We are screening opening night at the gala opening night on August 2 at "the Asbury" hotel. Both me and James found out about this festival last minute and he was able to log into my account while I was at work and unable to in order to submit to this festival in time because we knew this would be our ticket for this films success. He was able to submit it on time with only a few hours to spare. We had plans to film something the day after but he didn't show up. Read my post( photo below) for more details but we were accepted to the festival; hours later I found out he had passed away. I am distraught. We just had our world premier of our film we worked together in for five years. We had people ordering DVDs. We had a good q&a session. We talked about modifications to make the film better. We talked about festivals and found this one.

I don't expect an award at all but I am beyond honored to be selected into our first major festival. I am distraught that I will be watching it without him. I am thankful they accepted us and are allowing me to still be in it knowing we were in the process of polishing audio and minor details. They said very kind words about the film after hearing about his passing and were very excited to screen a film about Asbury Park in Asbury Park.

Please none of us saw this coming and be aware the dvd orders will be delayed. I am sorry.

I am only sharing this because I was asked to by one of his family members. We will miss you james and thank you for working so hard.

Thank you to everyone involved in my film and who came to the screening. I wasn't expecting such a large crowd and people who were actually excited to see it and meet me. I was shocked when I saw the line of people patiently waiting for me an hour before I got there; I would have been there sooner but I was in three hours of traffic. I received so many positive comments about viewers following the films progress for years that I wasn't aware of. I'm so pleased with the film and appreciate everyone who contributed especially the Falco family- I found their family movies on YouTube and ended up incorporating them into the story and they were nice enough to be apart of the film. I don't think the film would work without them honestly lol so thank you rudy for responding to us on YouTube. Thank you to the The ShowRoom for having us.

Happy to finally say that our film will have a premier early 2018. Throughout the years our story has grown and changed due to the changes in asbury park. We started off wanting to do a strictly historical film but we could not do this when a city was on the verge of drastic changes and had to document the present asbury park. Everytime we thought we finished, something new came up that would be a shame not to document. You've waited patiently and we will be posting a release date locally and then entering into festivals.
