Taking the ACHS stage for the last time, seniors Gabe Wight and Addie Fudge star in the annual spring play. Checking In premiers tomorrow, March 22, at 7 p.m. on the ACHS stage and continues at the same place and time on Saturday. "I'm really nervous because this is the first time I've had a really big part," Fudge said. "Since this is the last time, I'm starting to realize how much I am gonna miss it."

"I've had great memories on this stage. This is where I started acting," Wight said, "but I'm glad to be moving on and continuing with acting next year." Wight will be majoring in theater at Allen Community College next year.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate. They are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Student actors took the stage last Saturday night in the annual Night of Shorts. The night was divided into 6 different student directed one acts. Spring Play auditions are this upcoming Thursday and Monday!

Caught on the mat for the second day in a row, AJ Schaffer takes on a different role as a referee at the Gene White Memorial youth wrestling tournament in Emporia. This was his first time as a referee. Coach Barnes said that Schaffer, who never seems to be nervous for his own meets, was a little antsy for his new gig.

Showing their support for the Bulldog football team, ACHS students showcase their red, white and blue at tonight's game against the Girard Trojans. The Bulldogs lead 14-0 with just over seven minutes left in the half. Who do you think is the fan of the game? Post your pics and comments!

Making the trip to Osawatomie, 53 ACHS juniors and seniors attended the annual college fair at Osawatomie High School. Area colleges, universities and trade schools were available to speak to students. Senior Cadence Wilper said that the school representatives provided helpful information about scholarships, degree programs, student population (online and on campus) and tuition. In full concentration, Madi Reichard marches with the ACHS band at the Baker University Marching Band Festival on Tuesday. Reichard, a freshman, plays the piccolo for the band. This was the first time she was able to wear the marching band attire as she always marches in her cheer uniform. This was also the first time this year that band members were able to wear the white plumes on top of their hats. In Mrs. Elliott's class, Easton Mead and Easton Wettstein reference their textbooks while taking a test over Geoffrey Chaucer's "The Wife of Bath's Tale" from the Canterbury Tales.
