WB I-435 is CLOSED at Metcalf Ave for a single vehicle that crashed and caught fire.

The driver is being transported to an area hospital for treatment. The vehicle was allegedly driving at a slow speed in the left lane when it was struck from behind by at least one vehicle.

All lanes have reopened.

A Johnson County Med-Act ambulance just had a minor accident near 119th St and Metcalf. The ambulance crew is advising that this is a non-injury accident. OPPD is en route to do an accident report.

The Johnson County Emergency Communications Center’s computer-aided dispatch system has gone offline, and they are now operating in “manual” mode. JOCO ECC dispatches all Fire and EMS calls across Johnson County, KS.

ECC is now “back to normal dispatching operations.”

FD communications have been moved to an encrypted TAC channel. Sheriff's Office dispatcher advising that the aircraft landed safely on the ground.

KHP was en route to assist with a potential aircraft collision investigation. They have now gone back into service.
