Sinkholes are natural depressions that form when rock dissolves or collapses, creating deep voids in the ground. While they are commonly found on land, they also exist in the ocean, often appearing as deep, circular pits in shallow coastal waters. In the spirit of the Halloween season last year, Planet Cruise released its list of “The World’s Most Haunted Hotspots.”

The ranking examines historical sites, old houses, hotels, cemeteries and more, using factors like Tripadvisor ratings and the number of mentions for keywords like “Haunted,” “Spooky,” and “Scary” to figure out which locations placed on top.

An underwater camera set up 55 years ago to try and photograph the Loch Ness Monster has been found by accident by a robot submarine.

The ocean-going yellow sub - called Boaty McBoatyface - was being put through trials when its propeller snagged the mooring for the 1970s camera system.

No sign of the famous monster was found on the camera that had been in Loch Ness for 55 years.

The town of Bridgeport, Connecticut saw one of the most remarkable poltergiest cases in the USA back in late 1974 that caused pandemonium in the local community. Crowds flocked to the house after the word spread causing the police to close off access for the public.

Dismissed as a hoax by the Bridgeport Police Department after several days, the case seemingly solved and the crowds left. Yet, in his extensively investigated paid of books, author WIlliam Hall lays out the jaw dropping events witnessed by dozens, that defy explanation.

The real problem with tales of local witches and evil graves is that you can never truly enjoy them. What at first sounds like a fun little tale, typically unfolds into a horrid historical reality of victimised woman and systemic cruelty, usually aided by rural superstition and a bit of religious hysteria for good measure. The story of Margaret, or ‘Molly‘, Leigh is sadly no different.
