Wow! Never thought God could bless me like this!

To be back at the place I call my second home is surreal. And how amazing it is to get to work with some of my favorite people in the world everyday! Tara thank you for encouraging me to take a leap of faith and spread my wings. Your confidence allowed me to become comfortable with the idea of seeing basketball with a coach’s eye.

Can’t wait to work with some of the best collegiate athletes in the world. Lol just don’t beat me up too much in 1on1 drills. Let’s do this Card! I’m dedicated to this program 110% Coach Bird on the way!

When people asked me how long I planned on playing basketball, I would always respond, “until my body says no.”

That day has come. A little sooner than wanted, but man what a ride! I’ve fought back from 4 knee surgeries, 3 within the last 2 years. And instead of pushing through the pain every day, I’m deciding to close this chapter of life, which ends with much joy! It’s time to start a new chapter with another incredible journey.

I can never repay the game for all the blessings it has given me but I’ll be grateful for it always. Thank you to all of my family, coaches, teammates, and fans that have supported me over years!

It’s been hard to reflect on the last 15+ years of my life. Ball has impacted me daily for so long. Through all the ups and downs, I’ve loved this game deeply. It’s allowed me to meet life long friends, travel the world, win championships, and challenge me in ways I could never imagine.

As I look into my future, I know the lessons I’ve learned from this amazing sport will stay with me for a lifetime. Until my next adventure…it’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you later. And as my grandma always says, “the best is yet to come.” 🏀❤️
