A few piccies of me recently wearing . As you know, I am a massive fan! If you need a bit of boost, look no further! These days I am mostly in the gym or yoga studio and hydra fusion daily defence is perfect for a natural glow on your skin instead of foundation. I use it every time. And the bronzer is just great for now to add that warm glow now that we have been missing the sunshine. Give it a try, you won’t regret it! All products are tagged and are a mixture of ad/pr and purchased by myself as I use them every day so I buy them myself when they are all used up!
I have been a little quiet here this week as my mum had a bad fall and is in hospital so I have been visiting her everyday. She is very badly injured so I think this is my life for the foreseeable- juggling normal life with hospital visits. With my Personal Training Course, a new job helping with admin at my yoga studio (which I am delighted about) and hospital visits every day, it’s just been a bit overwhelming and Insta has taken a back seat. I hope to get back to some normality soon and catch up with everyone properly. Happy Friday and have a great weekend! Vicki x

Express yourself! Dress for you, to suit yourself, for you ! And here we have it… a little chic with this .uk satin slip skirt and a little edge with this preloved bomber and well, I like it! It’s very moi! Isn’t that just how it should be! And How’s your week been? Mine has been a week of more PT study, gym and yoga and it’s exactly where I want to be - Finding my purpose and what fits with my value system and what I find important. Sometimes it’s the hard knocks in life that can get you to where you actually want to be! It’s not been easy and it’s a real journey but I think it will be worth it in the end! I am preparing every day for my PT assessment in a month’s time and then maybe I can have a teeny bit of time out before the next phase! Let’s do this and roll on Friday ❤️

Spring is coming and with this in mind I chose these pieces from the latest .uk collection. I can see these being worn right through Spring and into the Summer! I think this is my Sade look! After a week of intensive study of anatomy and physiology for my PT course, I was so looking forward to dressing up and going out and this is what I wore for dinner out with an old friend last Saturday. A Simple, classic look. I popped on my cream cropped jacket too (swipe to see) and on our way out of the bar to the restaurant a young man stopped me and said ‘wow, just beautiful in your power suit!’ Well I loved that! And I loved my outfit….. so thought it needed a little share. I think I will be wearing this again for date night tonight. I really need an excuse to get out of gym kit and glam up. So good for the soul. Having said that I have an entire weekend in my gym kit next weekend for my first face to face functional training for my course and I am so excited for it! And then 4 weeks after that my level 2 should be complete. It feels like I am going right back to my passion: fitness and movement. And I am so happy about it! It feels so right! Another rare skirt moment! I do wear them occasionally 😂! Love this satin maxi one from .uk ! And I chose the track today as I seem to have got run down and need to remember to take care of myself a bit better sometimes instead of constantly driving myself. I have been studying as much as I can and somehow the hours fly by- not enough hours in the day and not enough brain capacity in my head! I will get there, but perhaps I need to take it a bit slower but that is very me! A bit all or nothing! Once I make my mind up, that’s it! It’s a bit like when I decided to embrace the natural hair… I did it the quickest way possible and chopped it all off! I am actually getting a bit bored of it a year on and feel like growing it. We shall see. So more study all day today, an emergency trip to the dentist to try and sort out my swollen mouth (it’s back again today - think it must be all the life changes recently has been a bit stressful) and hopefully a stint in the gym if I can manage- you see what I mean, I struggle to stop 😂! The head says Yaaas and the body says noooo! Have a great day ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰

How glam are these trousers? Just goes to show a simple addition to the wardrobe can update a look- everything else is old! And these satin trousers are so easy to wear with an elasticated waist at the back. I just love high waisted wide leg trousers! Such a classic style and the sizing is always reliable. I didn’t need these trousers but fell in love and can see them for so many occasions - weddings, glam evenings out, Christmas, New Year and just cos you can and want to! So much love for them!
I have already worn them twice and just for having a bit of glam on Saturday date night at home. Perfect!
So how has your week been? If you saw my stories you will know I have been on double antibiotics this week to fight the infection I have been managing for 2 years in my tooth plus had an hours deep clean at the dentist, injections the lot. The positive is I am being looked after and hope to manage this! It is a bit draining at times! The ying and yang of life eh? What’s been going on for you? Am now looking forward to finishing the antibiotics in 2 days ! Bring it on! No Bank holiday for me here because I am working today and Monday but it’s all good. I am loving my lifestyle and the free time I have too. So Happy Bank Holiday ❤️!

The trousers from my post a couple of posts back but this time with just the bandeau top. I absolutely love the simplicity of this look. And swipe to see the beautiful jewellery that I was so kindly gifted. I love how beautifully it matches the classic simplicity of this look!
And what a week it has been this week meeting lots of lovely people. I am amazed daily how my life has changed and how much I smile. It hasn’t been easy adjusting but I think I have finally found a peaceful kind of joy. It’s been the same with the hair too- it has been a real challenge but also a joyful and exciting journey. Being asked if it’s o.k to photograph my hairstyle is a weekly occurrence now! I seem to end up talking about hair with people alot- it really is an emotive thing! Having this style seems to resonate with some women and it has been wonderful to share the experience of taking the plunge to embrace my natural hair colour and to go so short. I realise it is not for everyone but we are all individual aren’t we and what we want to express in our personal style is exactly that- personal to you. So I celebrate that whole heartedly- be you, embrace you, enjoy being you! It’s what makes us all special and different! And I Love that! Happy Thursday!

A classic simple slip skirt look with my favourite waist coat which I seem to be wearing with everything right now. The most versatile item I have bought recently. Keeping it simple today with a splash of for colour as I am back in work after a fantastic weekend away visiting my Insta and now real life bestie in Brighton. What a fantastic weekend we had! We fitted a few month’s activities into one Saturday- swipe to see us at a gig! Brighton (and Vicky) are awesome! Saturday alone compromised morning yoga, a coastal walk, breakfast at a beach café, the Van Gogh Alive exhibition, lunch out, champagne and a hair cut( Vicky is the most talented stylist and make up artist on every level - hair , personal styling, colour analysis) then a gig, drinks at Soho House and clubbing! It was awesome! Plus we met some lovely people along the way. And that was Saturday alone! Then I drove home via a London stop to stay with my best friend from school- again swipe to see the last piccie of us being ultimately geeky in our glasses! It’s hard to always find time together to see friends especially if there is a big distance but isn’t it just the best when you can make that time for friends even if they live hours away! Such a good feed for the soul! I am feeling so grateful for these 2 special friends and special times together. More of that please! I will put more of our weekend on stories later ! What I wore to the opticians last week when the optician said I was rocking my new haircut! How lovely was that! I have had so many chats about hair since my new style … the hair has definitely become a talking point and so many people comment positively which is obviously lovely. I certainly don’t miss hours at the hairdresser for the colour to last just 2 weeks before needing a root touch again. And now it only takes 5 mins to dry and style too! Winner! And now I never worry about the colour or the roots. My hair is just doing what it wants now. So liberating, so freeing and so part of my new lifestyle now too! No regrets! And it has been so fun too! Hope this helps anyone thinking of going short and natural! Plus thanks for the advice on jackets yesterday. I had fun doing a poll on stories too. The biker won on the poll but the cream more popular in comments. Interesting! If the rain is forecast it will be biker but with an even bigger, chunkier necklace- suggestion from the fabulous ! I am so looking forward to celebrating our 28th anniversary and my son’s 23rd birthday next weekend. Also looking forward to going to an art exhibition next week in Manchester - a ballon installation - sounds cool! I seem to have a summer filled with lovely events this year! And now I am making more time for self development. Yoga has really improved my foot pain and stiffness so I intend to introduce more of that into my life. I was 4 days pain free after the last yoga session and able to walk as soon as I got up in the morning. There is hope at last! Still only wearing trainers but also giving these chunky sandals a go - very comfortable! Last week’s book event that I attended has also inspired me . I realised that I need more mental stimulation so it’s time to get back into the learning seat again, get onto some courses and excited for where it will take me next. It’s been a while but I am ready for new adventures and experiences again! Happy new week!

Just another set of piccies from my French holiday. Just one more week of French holiday sharing, I promise! I just loved this evening stroll. It’s a really busy little town so I loved the quiet of these back streets and the buildings are all so beautiful. It was a lovely get away that week and I have come back refreshed. The latest thing I am excited about is Yoga. I found this lovely yoga studio in Nantwich through meeting a customer actually and went last week for the first time- the welcome was so warm and friendly. Just so positive and the amazing part of it is the lack of pain in my foot since so I am really hoping this is a game changer. I love weightlifting and strength building- so so good for the confidence. But I realise I need more balance in my life so stretching, meditation and being in tune with your body will be the key to healing I think and it felt so good. Why have I not done this before? Time and mindset. Environment and situation. I have made changes to all of these and it has brought so many positives- positive connections within my community being a major one. It’s the intangible things that can be the most life enhancing sometimes and this is so true for me at the moment. I am realising that moving forward and success is not just a list of accomplishments, it can just be that you finally have the space to breathe, to reassess, be open hearted and to learn how to live in the moment. And how lovely to be here! So with those thoughts in mind, here’s to a new week and enjoying those small moments that bring joy! ❤️

The loveliest time in France, Honfleur! We were so lucky with the weather! This was our second evening out, it was so warm and we fell upon a seafood restaurant at the harbour front - swipe to see the oysters and my bracelet stack! (I have tagged them all). And then we followed it up with an evening stroll around town: beautiful buildings and cobbled streets. Loved it! And I was so delighted to wear this bracelet stack all week on holiday. Jules sent it out to me just before I went and I was sooo excited. I had wanted one for some time and especially for the summer. Do check out her jewellery and there are ring stacks to match too! I will be wearing mine endlessly and it is the perfect way to add a bit of colour to your look so even if you are wearing all black as I often do, you have a splash of colour with the bracelet beads! I just got back from a week’s holiday in France, Honfleur with Mr KL (aka hubby) and this was our first morning. Up and out to a busy market in cobbled streets.. it was very hot and very busy and so so lovely. We bought saussison, fromage, tomates et du pain! How happy was I why my baguette in the straw bag piccie😂 Needless to say I am not ready to be back to reality. I loved the freedom, speaking French (I have a degree in it so it was lovely to practice and listen) and pretty much all things French. Oh yes and loved the warm sun on my skin, the good wine, and dressing up all week! Loved every minute of being just moi! Anyone relate! I have been a bit quite here because we were away but loved catching up during down time! More posts to follow of course! Happy weekend! I literally can’t wait until my next trip away! Porto here we come in September! Happy weekend! Now time to enjoy the micro moments! Luckily I am good at that too! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Summer shorts style! Aren’t we just loving this blitz of summer weather (apart from the rain and thunderstorms every time we plan a bbq!) I saw in a pair of cream shorts recently and that was it.. needed a new pair. Love it here for style inspiration and please follow her as her style is awesome and she is a stylist too! So this is my dad! I knew him for just 10 years until he passed away very suddenly when I was just 10 and he was just 40. He was a charismatic man, a Hungarian aristocrat who escaped home and country as a young man and a student during the 1956 Hungarian uprising to escape the Russian invasion. He arrived in Vienna with his best friend and from there he was posted out to Swansea University where he studied engineering and met my mum. He started up his own Computer business when Computers were so new. A real entrepreneur and big personality. He was a humanist too… would stand against racism and prejudice and I have heard so many stories of him that make me proud. In fact it is only recently that I realised I am a child of a refugee but I have always recognised how life can be enriched by embracing otherness, by enjoying difference because it is part of who I am. Makes sense that I spent 28 years teaching 2 European Languages (French & German) and sharing the culture with my pupils. My dad was fun too and taught me to jive (hence my love of dance) and to love Hungarian cuisine. He actually wasn’t around much in the end as my mum and he separated when I was at primary school and he just came back at weekends. And I can remember waiting at the front door for his arrival, just so excited! This photo came through of him this week from his best friend and I was amazed how much my son looks like him! What a legacy to pass down. I will always be proud of my dad and my heritage but today I will celebrate my husband for being a super dad to our son who we both love with all our heart. So here’s to all the dads past and present. Life is never perfect but we can hold on to what matters in our hearts. Happy Fathers’s Day! ❤️

The hair…thought you might be interested in seeing how the greys are coming through close up! I have days when I love it, love the style and everything and days when I miss having the long brown hair. But it has been so liberating, so freeing and empowering to not only aim to ditch the dye and let the grey through but also going short. No more long hair appointments to dye the greys that showed up again only 2 weeks later! No more constantly straightening my thick wavy hair - my hair is just doing it’s own thing now! I love the feeling of the sun on the back of my head… again, it’s the little things. And I have had so many compliments about my hair too - from men and women! I was even visited by 2 ladies coming in to the shop at work who spotted me in the shop from outside and they came in just to see and talk about my hair! 😂 That has never happened before! When I told a friend of mine about the experience, she said I should feature on Tripadvisor for ‘things to do in Nantwich’: visit Vicki’s hair 😂😂😂 That made me smile all week!
