Hey everyone. We're truly sorry for going completely silent for the rest of 2019. Things have been hectic as of late and, as I've said before, this isn't a full-time matter, so the updates come and go whenever they can.

I've decided to scale things down a bit in terms of what we want to produce for that reason. With our first project, our ambitions were to the max for what sort of budget we could have come up with at this point. I'll say that it will probably be a project pushed aside for the future.

As of now, a new project will be in the works shortly to replace Oval. There's not much to offer except for a short teaser image, but there will be information posted at a later date. I promise.

2019 was a rough year for the family, but with a new decade, I assure you that things will improve and we'll give you the content you deserve.

Thanks and have a great day!

-Jody

Hey guys!

Well, I know things have been quiet for awhile. Things have been very hectic, and since this isn't a full time thing like we would want it to be, unfortunately, it takes a back seat.

Rest assured, we are working on our projects whenever we get the time and we will let you know when something comes up.

Thanks for following us!

Today, I would like to proudly announce a new film project me and my brother are working on. It’s called Oval: Humble Creature from Outer Space.

Our idea was to develop a take on films such as The Day the Earth Stood Still and E.T. while also paying homage to Jim Henson. The plot centers on an oval-shaped creature who has been gathering knowledge about Earth for years to benefit his planet. On one of his usual treks to Earth, his ship is shot down by some space pirates and lands on a farmland where two of the locals spot him and immediately call the authorities.

Scared about what to do, the creature runs off and eventually meets up with Ted, a down-on-his-luck businessman whose had recently lost his job. The two characters meet on a cold night as Ted is walking down the road, trying to hitch a ride after his car stalled on him, and Ted agrees to bring the creature, who he nicknames “Oval”, in with him.

That’s as much as the plot I’m going to reveal at this moment, as we’re planning a lot that we want our audience to be taken back by.

This is a project that we knew we could do. I’ve always wanted to develop some sort of creature film of this caliber while having fun with it. With my projects, I know that almost everything has been done before, but that compels me to do more. The idea of Oval was conceptualized by me and my brother one hot summer day while we were digging some dirt.

My brother had become obsessed with The Muppets and was interested in making a film that had the same charm as Mr. Henson’s work. I had recently played the game Destroy All Humans and was interested in the mythos behind the characters and their species. I wanted to develop a film that harkened back to the days that people were obsessed with aliens. Even today, we’re still obsessed with them, much like we are with zombies. It provides a what-if scenario that we never know will be explained, thus, making these types of films are fun to do since you don’t have to do your research. You can simply say, “It’s just make-believe, just roll with it”.

However, with that, we want to make scenarios that are believable in some way, much like the original Ghostbusters for example. That film, while fantasy, had aspects that was done expertly enough that made it seem like what was going on was real. We just want to be subtle about the details we put into, for example, how Oval’s features work and so forth. We’re also wanting to change up things where the science fiction aspect takes a back seat for more character development. We feel that with a lot of science fiction films these days, they care more about the special effects than making characters that are believable. We want to make a film that is charming while also giving science-fiction lovers what they want. A film for everyone, essentially.

It will be an ambitious project for us, that’s for sure. We are still amid writing the story and screenplay. We want to make sure that this project has our interest and yours, because if there’s no interest, what’s the point?

We will need all the help we can get with this project as time goes on. If you would like to express interest in contributing to this project, please send us a message.

I hope we can make this project a true reality. More details will be explained as time goes on. Thank you for reading!
