Game: Tales of Arise

Been waiting for a decent JRPG since Octopath Traveler and here's one I absolutely adored. Stayed up nights playing this and ended up binging it till the end.

The plot is decent and they definitely tried to work at tying up the loose ends. The characters have been fantastic for me. All of the characters have distinct personalities and their interactions are basically the life and soul of the game.

Visuals and combat: The game opted for a very artistic style and it really gives off the "hand-drawn"feeling, which I adored. The game looks gorgeous at every possible scenario and location. The combat is perhaps some of the best I have experienced in any JRPG. The controls are fluid, there are so many rates to pick from and getting a combo going is amazingly satisfying. Lastly, the fight visuals are straight-up top notch. Every burst, every mystic rate has a charm of its own and they blend seamlessly into the gameplay. You will never get bored with the combat.

Soundtrack: The soundtrack is well executed and adds to the ambience of every scenario. It just gets especially great towards the end. The anime style openings and endings are beautiful and the final ending OST Blue Moon by Ayaka has been on repeat for me.

Post game (Mild spoilers): There's a fair amount of post game content including cameos from other Tales games as well as boss rush battles that get your blood boiling. Barely clutched the final boss rush if I have to be honest.

Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights

What a surreal experience. I would even go far to label this as a masterpiece. Loved the lore, the spirits, their backstories and most of all, the combat and music. The music is absolutely top notch and elevates the experience to a whole different level.

The final boss fight was nerve-wracking but thanks to being level 100, I managed to pull through. There is hardly any grind in the game as you can max out level from just exploring.

I'll be looking more into games like these, but after I am done with Scarlet Nexus.

Took part in an Intra Sunnydale Valorant Tournament last night. It was a lot of fun, to be honest. A group of friends, trying their best to achieve something together.

This was our first match of the night, against Risky Business.
