With heavy hearts, we share the news that Raymond Dokpesi, a visionary and pioneer in Nigeria broadcasting, passed away on May 29th.

Raymond Dokpesi's unparalleled commitment and dedication to his craft propelled the growth of both TV and radio stations. He was the founder of the first privately owned radio station in Nigeria and also pioneered Nigeria's first global TV which was Africa's first-ever Satellite TV station. His unwavering passion for broadcasting touched the lives of millions, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts.

As we mourn the loss of this broadcasting pioneer, we are consoled by his extraordinary legacy and the countless lives he touched throughout his illustrious career. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

Raymond Dokpesi's presence in the broadcasting industry will be deeply missed. May his soul find eternal peace.

92.3 Nigeria Info FM Port Harcourt has received the award for Best Radio Station -News in English Language.

The station received the award in Lagos, last night during The Nigeria Broadcasting Awards, TNBA, which is the broadcasting industry gold standard award platform that recognises and rewards professional excellence and impact on society.

Also, 99.3 Nigeria Info FM Lagos won the Radio Station of the Year category and the Best Radio Station - documentary/feature category.

Recall that Nigeria Info FM got eleven nominations and won three of the highly competitive Awards. The award is organised by the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, BON.

Indeed, it was a night of excitement and celebration.

Following the nominations of broadcasters in different categories of TNBA, Only two broadcasters have been nominated in multiple categories.

The most interesting part? One of the broadcasters is from the television industry and the other from the radio industry.

So, we have only one broadcaster with multiple nominations in the TV awards category of the TNBA and only one broadcaster with multiple nominations in the Radio awards category.

These nominees are Ruth Aguele in and . Congratulations!

We can't wait to see if they will bag any of the multiple awards. 😀
