The “you” I’m speaking to in this post refers to very FEW people ⬇
Because VERY FEW people are so good at:
- Content Strategy
- Building community
- Selling their stuff
- Walking the talk
- What they deliver on
..That the little perfectionist things don’t matter at all.
Some people could be posting a selling story using Comic Sans over a picture of a dumpster fire with a broken link and I’ll still be thanking them after paying in full.
However, most people don’t focus on these things.
A lot spend their time scouring for typos, crafting their grid and being so scared to rock the boat that they never say anything interesting ever.
..And then they wonder, why’s no one buying?
It’s because your audience is not grading your content based on typos,
Their grading you on how your content makes them feel.
Now I’m not telling you to ignore typos, or not have any branding, or to use Comic Sans (please don’t), but what I am saying is this:
Stop obsessing over the little things until you have STRATEGY, COMMUNITY and SALES covered.
