The “you” I’m speaking to in this post refers to very FEW people ⬇

Because VERY FEW people are so good at:

- Content Strategy
- Building community
- Selling their stuff
- Walking the talk
- What they deliver on
..That the little perfectionist things don’t matter at all.

Some people could be posting a selling story using Comic Sans over a picture of a dumpster fire with a broken link and I’ll still be thanking them after paying in full.

However, most people don’t focus on these things.

A lot spend their time scouring for typos, crafting their grid and being so scared to rock the boat that they never say anything interesting ever.
..And then they wonder, why’s no one buying?

It’s because your audience is not grading your content based on typos,

Their grading you on how your content makes them feel.

Now I’m not telling you to ignore typos, or not have any branding, or to use Comic Sans (please don’t), but what I am saying is this:

Stop obsessing over the little things until you have STRATEGY, COMMUNITY and SALES covered.

You content on stories should be VERY different than your content in your feed 👇

Consumers have caught wind that this isn’t a social media platform anymore.

People know that it is a promotional tool which is exactly why offering value IN FEED is more important than ever.

While everyone and their mother is selling stuff on social media, you need to build a lot more trust than you did back in the day.

AND HOW DO WE DO THAT?

- Content that is of value
- Creates awareness
- Solves problems
- Displays your expertise

“...but like don’t people have to know what services I’m selling if their going to buy from me?”

That’s what CTAs and Stories are for, babe.

You social media platforms is FUNNEL:

1⃣You reach people and nurture people with your POSTED CONTENT

2⃣ This funnels them to be story watchers which is where you can be more personal and sell more as your content builds trust and proves you know wtf you’re talking about

3⃣ then people get into your ACTUAL funnel - offers, frebeies, newsletters whatever it may be.

BUT HERE’S THE THING

Your posted content is the FIRST STEP OF YOUR FUNNEL...

And you’re telling them how to work with you right away?

Shake their hand first.

I dunno about you, but constant CTAs give me the BIGGEST EYE ROLL 🙄

When you are posting nearly everyday, the need for CTAs is sooo minimal cause let’s face it,

You’re a content super star, and have so much to share that people eat up your content and then get all up in your stories: ✨and that’s where you do the calling to action ✨

You see, blending value with sales is doable, but if it’s everyday it can look a little like “you owe me now”...

And look, THIS IS A BUSINESS

YOU’RE RUNNING A BUSINESS

WE ALL WANT TO MAKE MONEY

BUT: your posted content is likely the first touch point between you and NEW people in your audience,

And most often that is the primary goal of your content to bring in and nurture new people by showing them that you know your s**t and there’s more to give them.

Cause not all of those newbies are taking action right away...

YOUR STORIES HOWEVER
This is where you’ll find the people who already follow, who already know you, or want to get to know you and your offers.

THAT’S WHEN IT’S TIME TO SELL

Now are call to actions a good thing: Yes

Do they absolutely ruin your content: No

Are the necessary on everything your post: Absolutely not

Is it most important that you are showing up and putting intention into what you do rather than listening to every ig guru without thinking about it first: HELL YES
