Supporting civil liberties and freedoms for the innocent civilians of Gaza is NOT the same as supporting the despicable actions committed by Hamas. We seeing far too many comments saying that people are “Hamas apologists” or “antisemites” when they show support to Palestinian human rights whilst still condemning Hamas.

The same false equivalence tropes were rolled out during Covid when many of those who questioned the Covid response were falsely smeared as a “covidiot” or “anti-vaxxer”.

This form of ‘othering’ smearing against any opposing views is a form of cancel culture and aggressive group-think. And it’s wrong.

🇸🇾 On Saturday evening, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and official media reported that Israel had carried out an air attack on Aleppo International Airport. As a result of this attack, the airport was so severely damaged that it is currently unusable.
In turn, the Al-Watah daily reported that the attack damaged the airport's runway, which had only just been repaired after the previous attack that took place on Thursday. Then, in addition to the airport in Aleppo, the airport in Damascus was also attacked. As with Aleppo Airport, Damascus Airport is currently unable to operate.

It is worth noting that there is no confirmation from the Israeli side of this attack or any previous attacks of this kind.
