Hey guys! Just wanna take the opportunity to say a HUGE Thank You for supporting us throughout the whole 6 weeks of our assignment :) Thank You for being there as we learn and grow and work our butts off together to pull this off, for supporting our promotional rallies and listening to our radio show. Hey guys! We are super excited to share with you our final feature of the young and passionate series! Meet John Chin, an 18 years old dancer all the way from Sabah. John recently got admitted by The Boston Conservatory (TBC) to participate in Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance with USD$30,000 annual scholarship. Being the only Malaysian admitted, John is currently raising funds to cover for the rest of the cost. You can support him by going to this link: http://www.pozible.com/project/197307
But before that, THIS, is his story.

I've been dancing for about 6 years. I started my dance journey since 2010, a junior one student in Tshung Tsin Secondary School. Was very confusing in which club should I choose, because I was good at nothing. Then a senior told me to join Dance Troupe because it's really fun, so I "accidentally" started the journey.

At first, dancing is just an exciting thing for me to do, which is just a hobby. One day in a class of Senior one, teacher asked everyone of us what we really want to do in the future, since then I tried to discover myself. Found life of a professional dance artist is really interesting for me, so I decided to work very hard on it. I never think that I'm a very talented dancer, I just tried my very best every single chance on the stage. One day after a performance, friends told me that they actually cried while watching me dancing, they said it's touching! Since then, I really felt that dance can really communicate with others, it can really tell a story! I witnessed the magical things happen again and again, which is why I want to pursue it as a dream.

To people who have a dream, go for it, just do it! Nothing will stop you if you really want the dream so bad. The only thing you have to be afraid of is yourself, you are the one who decide your life. I was alone at first, I took every possible class I could, I applied college all by myself, I recorded the audition for college for almost 40 times just to get a perfect shoot. After all that, I found out that many others are supporting me, I felt their love and care, I'm very blessed. I failed many times, but I also gave myself many chances to try again and again. So don't give up on your dream, if you give up on yourself, there isn't any reason for others to support you. - John Chin
