EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY RULES

1. Handle your equipment with care: Avoid damaging your lens or dropping your camera. If your equipment isn't insured, you could face significant losses.

2. Watch your step: Be cautious when moving backward. If you fall, your camera falls with you.

3. Protect your camera: Don’t let anyone touch or operate your camera unless they are a trusted team member.

4. Stay focused: Don't let anyone persuade you on the job. Ignore suggestions on where to stand or how to shoot.

5. Ignore mouthy MCs: Some MCs may try to correct you. If they ask you to sit down or stop blocking others, pretend you didn’t hear them.

6. Remain professional: Stay detached from the emotions of the crowd. If a joke is cracked, keep your focus.

7. Focus on your job: You’re hired to work, not to contribute financially. Don’t donate any money.

8. Keep competitors away: Ensure paparazzi and mobile phone photographers are absent from the event you’re covering. Inform the MC beforehand and, in extreme cases, consider hiring security to discreetly handle them.
