Studio Skyfire is pleased to share an exciting opportunity from our partners at Stowe Story Labs. The Stowe Story Labs $50,000 Short Film Production Grant, developed in partnership with PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, will award a $50,000 administered grant to support the production of a 10-minute short film.

This competitively awarded grant presents a life-changing opportunity for a screenwriter or production team to make a well-financed short film with mentorship available throughout the process, including support on building a festival campaign and post-festival distribution program.

Championing emerging writers is near and dear to my heart. If we are going to change the narrative, we have to tell good story - OUR STORY! Love that I got to hang out with these amazing screenwriters: Stowe Story Labs | Studio Skyfire Genre Screenwriting Fellow Ruth Jiang () and stand-up comedian and screenwriter Ellora Bultema () at the CAPE - Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment New Writers and New Leaders Graduation last week! And a special shout-out to actor & rainmaker Michelle Sun who loves connecting good-hearted and talented people even more than I do, and that’s saying something. Let’s make great art together!

We are pleased to announce a new fellowship with Studio SKYFIRE, founded by award-winning writer-director and Stowe alum Jennifer Thym. The Stowe Story Labs/SKYFIRE fellowship will be awarded to a top emerging genre writer bringing a feature or TV pilot. In addition to all other fellowship benefits, the SKYFIRE fellow will receive a $1,250 travel and lodging stipend. Writers with a cross-media background are highly encouraged to apply.
