Women in Love Trailer

Hey Rebels!

Here's some info from longtime Rebel members (and AZ film mainstays) Rick Dyer and Gita Farid, about their upcoming short film 'The Date'! -Ryan

--

LOOKING for FOLLOWING for FUN SHORT (Fairy Tale) FILM!
"The Date" by award-winning filmmaker, Gita Farid
1. Ages 25-60 Males and Females. Some ‘German’ looking, males (ex-Nazis), others European, Latina, Argentinian etc.

2. A small troupe of ballerinas (age immaterial) to walk on pointe past the camera. No need for character break-downs as there aren’t any speaking roles. Patrons at the bar after a performance at the Opera House

3. Would prefer if you could come with/ borrow from friend or family Tuxedo and bow tie to look like a 1950’s outfit. Women should wear 50’s style cocktail dress/ long gown (gloves optional). The look is RICH and GLAM! Men should be prepared to grease down hair/ appropriate hair style for that era. Women, if you can’t do your ‘up-do’ we’ll have someone on hand to help!

4. Shooting is one day only. We’re aiming to do it on Sunday May 19th, IF we can secure the location we are trying to get. All interested actors who will be in the film will be notified of the definite date as soon as we can lock down the location.

5. Folks should submit headshots with resume of experience. Although these are not speaking roles, some first-hand knowledge of the filming experience is essential.

6. No monologues, reads/sides necessary. Will notify of audition location. (There is a look and a swagger we are looking for!)

7. Looking to shoot in downtown Phoenix. Comp is credit and digital copy.

8. PLEASE, if interested, send info to [email protected]
This will be a SHORT 3-4 min film, for your reel and for FESTIVALS!
Here is an example of Gita Farid's previous work if you are unfamiliar with her:

Event Description:

Camplified Summer Camp Tour will select at least two (2) ReverbNation artists or bands to play three (3) dates each of the 2013 summer tour. Each artist is given a 25 minute set, followed by meet and greet after the concert. Backline will be provided as well as full sound and production crew. Each artist will get a thorough sound check prior to each show.

Camplified brings concert tours into prominent summer camps, featuring nationally touring acts from major and recognizable indie record labels. Summer Camp Tour 2013 emerges this summer for its 12th season with artist performances in front of a captivating and highly energetic market of 30,000+ influential teens and tweens at 40+ summer camps across America. The concert performance is the finale of the day and will run about ninety (90) minutes with performances by three (3) acts. Directly following the concert will be a meet and greet whereby campers will each be handed a commemorative tour poster that will be signed by the artists appearing at their camp.

Selection Criteria: Overall talent and Live performance

Who is in Attendance? This is a great opportunity to showcase your talent in front of America’s youth and international college age staff, the most fanatic tastemakers and spenders. You will have the chance to capture the hearts of teens and tweens – one of the more challenging demographics to reach – at the most musically energizing time of their lives. These taste makers are also your best communicators. They’ll spread the word to friends that they were a part of the artist discovery process this summer at camp. Camp audiences range from 300-500 per tour stop.

Sponsors of the tour will work with Camplified to integrate artists into their music based programs. Past sponsors have been Gibson Guitars, HP Computers, Roland, Stardoll.com, Nestle’s Juicy Juice, Scholastic, YuGiOh Trading Cards, Cartoon Network, Samsung, TMobile, Monkey Brains, Little Brown Books, Penguin Book Publishing, and St. Martins.

NOTE: Artists and Bands that are not selected also have another chance to play on the tour. If you are not selected for the free slots offered through ReverbNation, you can raise money from fans and supporters to fund the costs of a slot on the tour. To do so, follow the instructions below to set up your fundraising campaign on Indiegogo:
- Sign up at www.camplified.com/main/submissions
- Please type “YES” or “NO” at the tab that says “Want to be considered for Indiegogo?"
- If the artist or band meets the requirements, Camplified will contact you.

About Camplified Music Tour: The Camplified Music Tour, a division of Primary Wave Music, delivers quality entertainment to captive markets of tweens and teens, ages 6-17 through a unique, age appropriate captive rock concert experience which kicks off the day with campers and bands participating in branded activities provided by the sponsors. The concert tours feature emerging artists in a stage-show that accomplishes Camplified Music Tour’s multi-faceted commitment to creating a unique experience for its participants, being a responsible partner to its hosts, and being a resource to the camping industry.
