Feeling like in the darkness?

John 1: 5
God says that His light shines in the darkness and that no darkness can extinguish it.

Tap on God's light today, tap on His Word.
His Word is good for exposing, showing direction and filling our empty hearts.

Do not be in pain and exhaustion of navigating life with blindsight when you can see the fuller view with God's light shone upon you.

No man is too sinful that God can't forgive
No man is so good that he doesn't need God.
No sin is too big that God can't cover with His grace.

Do not be afraid to lay it all on His feet---- every fear, hurt, shame, bad decisions, regretful past, desires, ...

His light is available to everyone.

If life is a journey, then it is a journey consisting of battles --- physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Oftentimes, we find ourselves in a battle wherein we have no control.

But isn't it good news that we can't do anything on some of our battles? If we have no power over those battles it only mean that battle belongs to God!

Therefore, we can fix our eyes on Him and we can have His joy and peace because He is the one fighting for us.

If you are someone, who is in a desperate, impossible, and helpless situation --- onto which you have lost control ...

I have good news for you!

That battle belongs to the Lord.
He is fighting for you.
And if the God of Most High is for you, who can be against you?

Exodus 14:14
The Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still.

Meek & Tenderhearted

These are two adjectives that are far cry from who I was and what I wanted to be.

I grew up in a generational transition of conservative women going to independent women.

Independence, Self- love, pride, position, leadership --- equality with men; were the battlecry of my growing up years.

But the Bible clearly says,

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Colossians 3:12‭-‬13 ESV

We must be " meek " and "tender hearted ".

Meek means : quiet, not easily provoked, submissive.

Tenderhearted means : kind and gentle, compassionate

Reading the meaning of these two words, I bet you now see the problem.

Our current society isn't built for these.

In our current world, we must be strong, we must be the boss, we can do anything, we "deserve" every good thing in life, everything needs to be fair,...

Meekness and Tenderhearts simply have no room in our society nowadays.

But you know what?
We are called to be different.

In a world where everyone wants to be the 'boss', we are called to be gentle, quiet, submissive and not easily provoked.

As a woman of God, we understand that the only King of Kings is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

If we know this and give God the throne, it is very easy to be meek and tender hearted [ just as how God wants us to be ].

Because we know that we are limited and believe in an unlimited God, who controls everything, who is Lord over everything --- it is easy to lay it all on His feet.

We would not want control anymore. Because we know Who is in control.

It is to humble ourselves not only to God, but to everyone else because we know who is on our side.

We are not easily provoked by the problems of the world or if someone mistreats us.

The joy and peace that transcends all understanding is within us.

So in a world " where we can be anything ". . .
Be Meek and Tender hearted.

That is who Jesus is. That is what Jesus wants us to be.

After God's own meek and tender heart.

I heard before, that the reason why God compared His Word to bread and not a manual is because the Word is meant to be taken on a daily basis. Unlike a manual, when you are done with it, when you know everything about it already, when you memorize it already, you can throw it away because it is all in your head.

But the Word of God is like "daily bread". It is meant to be consumed on a daily basis, otherwise, without it you will die. Without food, we die.

So the Word of God is not only a food for our bodies but much so, for our soul---- or else our soul dies.

Maybe that's what was meant in the Lord's prayer : " [...] Give us today our daily bread "; it is more than just asking God for provision for food. It is asking God to reveal Himself through His Word when we read it, study it, meditate on it and pray.

If you feel thirsty, Jesus is the Living Water... Drink from Him and you will never thirst again.
If you feel hungry, physically or spiritually... Go to Him.. Read His Word... He is the Daily Bread.

Let God fill you. Bread🥖🍷

" Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."

Mas mataas ang engagement at mas maraming audience sa lifestyle blogging. Sa mga jokes and pranks.

Madalas kapag may sense ang post mo, walang likers yan.

But still, I choose to post quality content. Posts that will stir up thoughts, ignite change and inspire mommies like me.

Hindi ako pang masa 😅 tanggap ko na yan. And kung calling ko na mag share ng thoughts na halos ayaw marinig o mabasa ng iba , But Will educate and/ or inspire. Go tayo dyan.

Sometimes the greatest lessons in life are in those things na mahirap tanggapin/ situation na masakit / posts na masakit sa mata basahin.

Went out last night with my husband. T'wasnt really a date. He has an errand and I accompanied him.
No holding hands.
No talking.
But I don't care. He didn't have the time, but I had, so I made the adjustment.
It isn't easy to be with a hardworking / successful man. Not everyday will be a date night, or cheesy. Most days it will be just about how are the kids doin'?, What do we need in the house, I'll be home late, etc.
But if you want to see your man succeed and be in his 💯 full potential... Hahayaan mo sya.
Hindi naman laging ganito na super busy sya. May times naman na kapag open schedule nya talagang 💯 focused sya sakin at super spoiled ako. But during the times na busy sya.. I DONT GET IN THE WAY.
I dont text/ chat him morning/lunch/ dinner
I dont call him from time to time
Hindi ko sya pinauuwi agad
I let him be.
And there I was last night observing him while he was doing his best at work. Late night na pero working pa rin. Sometimes dates are not about fancy food and dressing up or going somewhere far. Dates for me are like this... When we discover each other more... So we can love each other... MORE.

Nakaka hype ang New Year. Especially kapag tulad ko, may New Year's Resolutions or goals ka.

Ingat. Baka hanggang una ka lang, maburn out ka agad.

Slow progress is still progress.

Productivity is not about gaano kadaming task ang macross out mo sa list mo. It is about the quality ng tasks done mo.

Kung hindi ka nakapag laba today, but you were able to finish that project with your kid. Good job! Productive ka pa rin.

Kung hindi ka naka- attend sa school program pero naka close mo ang deal ng isang client . Good job! Productive ka pa rin.

Don't aim for half baked results.

Mas maganda ang konting achievements for the day/ week pero lahat plakado.

Don't burn yourself out.

Take everything one step at a time.
One problem at a time.

Don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry itself.

Be faithful with little task
Do your best in each
Be happy, be kind.
Enjoy today.

BEYOND BEING MRS. ||

I let go of my job ( with which Im extremely happy and satisfied) to be my husband's secretary.

Dapat talaga title nito, beyond being just a mrs. Pero naisip ko hindi naman "just/ lang" ang pagiging "misis".

There are a lot of things I've willingly sacrificed for my husband and kids.

Habang tumatanda kami, and habang nari-reach namin goals namin... Pa busy na sya ng pa busy.

Madalas, naiiwan akong magisa sa bahay. Walang kausap. Madalas, uuwi sya ng pagod at wala ng time at lakas para makipag kwentuhan pa sakin. Madalas ang weekend para sa pahinga na lang nya. Wala ng date nights.

Madalas nalulungkot akong isipin na ganito na lang ba ako? Helper ng asawa ko? Sayang nan pinag-aralan ko. Sayang naman career ko.

Ako yung taga gawa ng mga di nya kayang gawin, taga sagot sa mga di nya kaya replyan, taga salo sa problemang di nya kayang asikasuhin, sa kalat na di kaya ligpitin. Taga sunod sa mga utos.

Naiinggit ako sakanya kasi maya't maya may nangangailangan sakanya. May meeting. May schedule. Parang accomplished na accomplished syang tao.

Samantalang ako, kung wala pa syang iuutos , walang magchchat sakin 😂 feeling ko wala akong silbi sa mundo kundi maglinis ng bahay .

Nasubukan ko magkaron ng work, pero di rin naman ako tumagal, kasi priority ko alalayan ang asawa ko sa lahat ng bagay.

It makes me feel less of a person ( feeling ko lang )... But this is , in the eyes of the Lord, is noble.

Genesis 2:18 “And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone, let us make for him a helpmeet”. A helpmeet means a helper suitable for him.

This is my God given role : " a helpmeet "

And where God has placed me, I will bloom there 🌹

Dito ko nilagay ni Lord, para maging suitable wife... I will be all here. I will be faithful no matter how small the task is. I will always do my best.

Hindi nga lang sya tulad ng dream job ko na laging naka heels, lipstick at manicure 😂

At kahit mahirap magpuno ng pagkukulang ng asawa 😂

I am made for this. I am trained for this.

My job is to complete and compliment my husband. Kung san sya kulang, kung san sya nahihirapan, kung san nya need ng help ... Andon ako.

I am his P.A. 😂 the women behind the scenes.

And I will no longer feel like I am missing something ,... Na sayang kasi nasacrifice yung career...

I am thankful na .. kasi I can be 💯 helpmeet for my husband.

Not everyone has the luxury to do that.

Beyond every story of being a misis, is a story of sacrifice and unconditional love.

My 10year old son asked me if va**ng is good and if he can use it when he becomes an adult.

Sabi ko , " anak, everything is permissible. But not everything is beneficial. " - 1Corinthians 10: 23.

Pwede naman anak, pero you have to think if it is going to benefit you. It's up to you. The choices we make, makes us. The person you become depends on your decisions. We are just a product of what we "permit" or " allow".

Ayokong deliberately sabihing " No" o "Hindi pwede" , kasi that's going to be tyranny. I set the rules when he was younger but now that he is fast approaching teenagehood gusto ko madevelop sakanya yung set of boundaries nya based sa values nya in life and not because " I said so." .

He then came back with an answer that he doesnt think va**ng is going to be beneficial for him. But I know through his coming adulting years, he might feel the pressure or curiosity to try things... Baka magbago ang isip... Pero... Atleast he has the mindset of 1corinthians 10:23, which can guide him along the way.

That verse has guided me since college days. Nakatira lang ako sa dorm and without 24/7 parental guidance. I can do whatever I want. But 1corinthians 10:23 became my reminder.

Lahat naman talaga pwede. We have our free will.

But we cannot escape from the consequences of the things we allow. ☺️

ABOUT HAPPINESS ✨

☺️ Happiness is a decision. You can decide today, na magiging happy ka no matter what happens. Hindi mo kailangan hintayin na umayos ang lahat ng bagay bago ka maging masaya.

☺️ BE HAPPY KUNG NASAAN KA NGAYON. Thinking and planning for the future is good. Overthinking is not. Do not forget to be happy where you are. Dahil kung hindi mo kaya maging masaya today... Sa kung ano ka at meron ka ngayon... Believe me it will be even harder for you to be happy in the future.

☺️ Your happiness depends on you, hindi sa ibang tao. Continue being kind, kahit rude sila. Don't give other people the power to make or break your day. Ikaw lang makakapagpasaya sa sarili mo. And nobody can ruin your happiness if you don't allow it. Nakikita naman ng Dyos lahat ng ginagawa mo para sa kapwa mo. At nakikita rin Nya lahat ng ginagawa nila sayo. Do your part, be kind and be happy kahit bad sila sayo.

☺️ Happiness is contagious. Being happy is contagious. You can be the source of a positive outlook and vibe wherever you go. People will be attracted to you by just being happy. No need to please them. By just enjoying yourself, you attract people to your vibe, they will enjoy being with you, they will be at ease around you, they will open up to you.

☺️ Happiness results to contentment. Not the other way around. If you learn to decide to be happy no matter what, contentment follows. And what a beautiful life to live, kapag may peace of mind ka.

☺️ Happiness creates a good image. People are attracted to happy people. You will become a people magnet if you have a positive and joyful attitude. Masyado ng maraming nega sa mundo. People wants someone to brighten their days.

☺️ Being happy, attracts positivity in life. Kapag positive ka lagi, kapag happy ka kahit na marami problema and all... It redirects the course of the day. Many good things happen because you maintain being happy, you are in a good mood, you become kinder,...

Life is too short and too fragile.
Life can never be perfect.

Alisin na natin yung mindset na , kapag nakuha natin yung gusto natin , tsaka lang tayo magiging happy.

Decide today, na everyday, you will choose to be happy... No matter what.

So happy , na lahat ng makita tayo o makasama tayo ay magiging masaya na rin.

Be the kind of person who brightens up someone's day, lightens up the mood in the room, and spreads kindness

BEST TEAM ||

As my favorite Pastor said, " As generational curse can be inherited, so as generational blessing."

What does this imply?

Ibig sabihin, kung sino at ano ka ngayon, malaking factor dyan ang roots mo --- aka family, aka bloodline, aka ancestors.

Lahat lahat about satin GOOD and BAD traits ( physical , emotional, mental, spiritual ) you can trace that down to your family tree.

That is why we can all conclude na FAMILY plays a big role in your character and personality. Even in our future. May choices tayo sa buhay, na hindi man tayo ang maka receive ng karma, eh future kids/ apo naman natin ang magsuffer/ magbenefit. ( generational curse/ generational blessing [ nasa Bible ito ] ).

Pero ang unfair di ba 😂 hindi tayo makakapili ng FAMILY.

Pwedeng hindi ka happy sa family mo ngayon. Or happy ka naman but still wondering what if sa better family ka napunta.

I've used to think about that. How me and husband could have been from different families.

But as I journeyed to re-discovering myself... I learned that... God is an unmistakable God. He is sovereign and He is super intelligent. Hindi Sya magkakamali ng pamilya na pagdadalhan sa atin.

" WHATEVER KIND OF FAMILY WE HAVE NOW, THAT'S OUR BEST TEAM". kahit nakaka inis pa yan.

We do not need to understand why. We just have to believe and trust God na hindi sya nagkakamali.

Kahit na hindi perfect, kahit na may nag-aaway away kung minsan ( madalas 😂), may hindi pantay.na.pagtingin, hindi lahat magbibigay sa magulang, may mga bastos, may mga pasaway. At marami pang imperfections...

Ang point ko lang is.. yan ang BEST TEAM mo.

Hindi ibig sabihin itotolerate mo ,
Pero yakapin mo na yan ang God-given team mo... Kahit di mukang galing langit 😂

Pero kung seseryosohin ng bawat isa ang generational curse at generational blessing, baka sakali mas maging maayos tayo sa mga ginagawa natin bilang pamilya para naman balang araw pasalamatan tayo ng ating mga future anak, apo at apo sa tuhod... Dahil maayos ang ating pamilya, pinagpala sila ng Dyos.

Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga lolo at lola ko, mga ninuno namin na mahirap man ay nagsumikap na mamuhay ng marangal para maitaguyod kami. Sa mga magulang namin na napalaki nilang mabuti ( hindi man perfect), pinag-aral, pinagtapos, nilaanan ng matitirahan. Sa mga pangaral sa buhay ng aming lolo at lola, at mga magulang...

It's humbling to know, now that Im a mother, na ako naman ang may responsibilidad na ituloy ang legacy ng pamilya ( hindi man perfect). Tayong lahat , bilang magulang, may responsibilidad na ituloy o may baguhin sa history ng ating mga kanya kanyang pamilya.

Do not wish for a better one , you cannot have a better one. Kung anong binigay sayo, at anong meron kayo... Work on that...

Wala ng lulungkot pa sa watak watak na pamilya.

Pero syempre di pepwedeng iisa lang eeffort. Dapat lahat kayo.

NAKALIMUTAN MO ||

Nakalimutan mo na higit sa pagiging ina at asawa,
May iba ka pang kakayahan.

Hindi ka ina at asawa lang.

Pero pinili mo maging ina at asawa lang, ng dahil sa pagmamahal.

Para sa mga babaeng "HIGIT PA".

Wala man nagsasabi o nagpapa alala sayo kung gaano ka kaganda, ka-husay, ka- talentado. Na isa kang alamat noong dalaga ka pa.

Nakalimutan man ng iyong asawa kung sino ka bago ka nya nakuha. At kung gaano sya nahirapan mapasagot ka lang...

Mabuhay tayong lahat! 🥂✨
Nasa langit ang gantimpala natin.

BREAKFAST STORY||

There are things I need to do, but I set aside to spend time/ support my husband.

ANG mornings ko, RIOT.

Kasi pagka gising ko, naka line up na ang tambak na labahin, hugasin, lutuin at kung ano2 pa. Obsession ko pa ang maglinis ng bahay top to bottom, bottom to top 😂

But whenever my husband has free time in the morning, at kahit alam kong masasacrifice ang work/ routine ko, I always choose to have breakfast with him.

Hindi kasi ako pala breakfast. Sya on the way to work nagbbreakfast na sya sa labas.

So everytime may chance, sumasama ako sakanya just to eat breakfast together.

Kahit na magugulo schedule ko.

This is one of many ways women/ wives like me go the extra mile for their spouse. Lalo na kapag sobrang busy talaga ng asawa mo, if you can, ikaw na magadjust.

And not only for the women, but also for the men.

Go the extra mile.
Sometimes it will go unnoticed.
Unappreciated.
Seems normal.

But don't worry. God is taking everything into account. Bilang Nya kung ilang beses mo prinioritize ang spouse mo , ilang beses ka nag adjust for him/ her, ilang beses kang nagsupport sakanya, gaano katagal kang nasa background lang.

And in His right time, He will make you shine not in the background but in the foreground. He will make your efforts seen and shine.

Kung ikaw ang inaalalayan at sinusuportahan ng asawa mo sa endeavors nya , BE THANKFUL.
Kung ikaw ang umaalalay at sumusuporta, WAG KA MAGSASAWA.
