Kitchen & Floors Reveal Part 1 #AD Shout out to Select Surfaces for being the biggest part of this remodel, I feel so incredibly thankful and lucky for this opportunity! On that note, lets get into the nitty gritty! I used the color Adeline, Select Surfaces is sold exclusively Sam's Club to keep it incredibly affordable at only $1.99 per sq ft. I can attest to the SpeedLocTM system which ensures easy and secure plank assembly during installation, this is the reason I was able to knock out these floors, because of how easy they were to install, yet still retaining incredibly high quailty! I loved that these came with a pre-attached backer, so I didn’t have to lay anything down before installation, after I ripped out my old floors, I was ready to go!These floors have completely transformed my home and I can’t wait for all the memories we will make in our home from here on out!Follow to see the rest of the kitchen remodel! #diy #newfloors #kitchenremodel #selectsurfacesadeline

Did I epoxy paint my granite countertops?? I SURE DID!!🤩🥳😍😁With @zcounterform ‘s epoxy kit, it made this process so easy and not stressful… “but Paris, didn’t you mess up and cry and get super stressed?” Well yes, but it wasn’t the epoxy’s fault, it was user error and I learned all the lessons! And I will make a full tutorial on how to be successful the first time! The beauty of painting with epoxy instead of actual paint, is the epoxy veins continue to spread for hours after your done which gives such a natural look and makes it that much more realistic!I am such a fan, and even though I had my challenges, I seriously can’t wait to do it again 😍#diycountertops #epoxycoutertop #fauxmarble #zcountertopforms #zcounterfom
Kitchen Refresh Part 2! So far I have cut down my high counter, reattached it to my low counter, filled in the crack with Bondo, sanded all the countertops down, and added my first layer of epoxy.I was already having trouble with the first coat, there were fuzzies and the epoxy wasn’t sticking in spots, but after sanding with a 150 grit and spray painting the fish eye spots, we were looking good and ready for round 2 of epoxy! How do you think it will turn out??Follow along to see how it turns out!#diy #diycountertops #epoxycoutertop #fauxmarble
What in the world… am I doing??Did I detach my high counter… I sure did!Did I cut it down? YUP!Did I cut the rest of the wall so it’s level with the current counter? You know it!And did I reattach the granite to make a true peninsula?? I absolutely did!!So what’s next? I will be filling in the crack with Bondo, the I will be painting and epoxying my countertops for a faux quartz look!!Follow along, you’re not going to want to miss this one!#diy #kitchenrefresh #diykitchen #diycountertop

Dresser and Nightstand Reveal! Here they are! Every flip I seem to try something new that challenges me to learn and grow, and that’s exactly what this project was! I decided I wanted to restore and revive this instead of paint, so I started off my using a paint stripper to remove all the old stain and chipping sealer. Then I had to sand the whole thing, you might ask, why did I strip if I still had to sand? I ask myself that too 😂 jk … this makes sanding so much quicker and easier! And sanding evens out the tones after the stripper. Next I used a beige color paint for a tan wash, so mute the yellow tones, I used 70% water, 30% paint… it was looking real good, but now I wanted to add back in some warmth! I let it dry for 24 hours…Then I used oil based stain, I mixed 20% Antique white wash, 80% early American, at first I was liking it, but then it was giving pink tones and reminding me of my grandpas white oak furniture… and that’s not what I was going for… so I added a layer of Provincial, and this was it, the magical combination! After another 24 hours I sealed everything with a finishing wax, this was my first time trying it and I absolutely LOVED IT! I will forever seal furniture with finishing wax over polycrylic… nothing wrong with poly, works just as good, the wax was just so much easier for the same effect! Then I added some new liners and hardware and this beautiful set was done!I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did, follow for more DIY and Furniture Flips! #diy #furnitureflip #diyfurniture #furniturerestoration
Boys Bathroom Transformation - Phase 4 This was one of the hardest weeks, physically and mentally. The shower was hard physically, but I knew what I was doing and what to expect. This vanity was by far the biggest challenge, paint stripping is not for the faint hearted, it is a long progress, and then the sanding, so much sanding. You might ask why are you stripping this perfectly good vanity? Becuase I can 😄 and this it’s not the look I’m going for.SO, I started sanding and stripping a perfectly beautiful vanity, after the drawer faces and doors were done, I realized the center pieces were particle board (MDF) so I would have to use edge banding and veneer to finish the total wood look. I was still optimistic the main base of the vanity was solid wood… but wow was I wildly disappointed, I definitely shed a few tears here, this was my first ever flip, so I didn’t know how to look for real wood vs particle board before I started. OH WELL, I was too deep into this and I had a vision so I wasn’t stopping. In the meantime between stripping and sanding the vanity, I removed the old mirror and old vanity from the bathroom 🙌🏼Follow @parisashleyhome to see how the vanity turns out and for phase 5 of this bathroom renovation!#diy #bathroomremodel #bathroomrefresh #womenwhodiy #boysbathroom
Dresser and Nightstand Flip - Phase 1I’m so excited to back in the “shop” and working on projects, but Mother Nature just keeps putting things on hold. Boys Bathroom Transformation - Phase 3 Grouting! This is the time where I learned what NOT to do! I Installed the shower and tub fixtures Check off shower, because it is complete!I did let my boys take one bath with their new parking garage 😉 before I demoed the rest of the bathroom! 😄Follow along to see phase 4! #diy #bathroomremodel #bathroomrefresh #womenwhodiy #boysbathroom
Boys Bathroom Transformation - Phase 2 What a week! I had to take the drywall back off and have a friend help me solder new water lines, then I added a 2nd niche, 2 coats of Red Guard, 12+ hours of tiling, and painted the window black!Wow! I’m a badass, seriously so proud of myself 🤣💪🏼🤪Next up: Grout, clean, caulk, clean, install fixtures, caulk, clean, install curtain rod and curtain… and the shower is done! … then the rest of the bathroom begins! Woohoo!#diy #bathroomremodel #bathroomrefresh #womenwhodiy #boysbathroom #paintitblack

Furniture Flipping Tips! Here are my top tips to increase your furniture flipping sales: 1. Patience, don’t rush, the buyer and YOU can tell if you rushed the project or if you cared about the flip you are doing. 2. If there are no feet, add feet or update new feet. People love feet on furniture. 3. Clean or refresh the hardware, the easiest way to update a piece is with new hardware. 4. My favorite, drawer liners! I have found that peel and stick wall paper is the most cost effective way to insert drawer liners, and there are SO MANY OPTIONS. You don’t have to order “drawer liners” peel and stick wall paper works just as great! (I have used both though) 5. Stage your piece, even against your garage, adding a rug, and some props on the pieces helps the buyer visualize the piece in there space. 6. Patience. Again, when you list, don’t drop your price if you have no bites after a few days, if you can store your piece, have patience, know your bottom line and the right buyer will come. Patching Drywall 102 So you have a bigger hole… don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! 1. A BIG Hole - grab a 2x4 or 1x4 and place it in the hole on the backside, screw it into the drywall and then place your cut out piece or a new piece of drywall in the whole and screw that in. Use your putty knife and rub joint compound on all the gaps, add drywall tape and then another layer of joint compound. If you are fixing a wall, completely, let it dry, once dry sand it and add another layer of joint compound, let it dry, sand again and either add your wall texture or don’t, then prime and paint. 2. A Medium Hole - Make a California drywall patch, use new drywall, make tic marks against the hole with an inch border. Cuts out the drywall and score the 1” border, remove the edges of the drywall, leaving the center. Add joint compound to the wall, apply the patch, add another layer of joint compound and repeat the final steps of Step 1. Refer to Patching Drywall 101 for patching smaller holes and more details on Wall Texture!Follow for more DIY Tips, Tricks & Tutorials! @parisashleyhome#diy #drywallrepair
