You probably think of mass as something you can measure with scales. Your clothes, your watch, your pet, your phone - all of this resembles mass to you. When you think of energy, you likely visualize something abstract, something you cannot touch, like lightning, a beam of light, or battery power.

So how could you possibly connect the two?

Throughout the history of Earth, millions of asteroids have hit the planet. At least once a year, a car-sized asteroid explodes in our atmosphere.

But there are bigger asteroids out there in space…

The Chicxulub asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs was estimated to be 7-50 miles in diameter and had the explosive energy of 2,000,000 Tsar Bombas. The massive asteroid hit the planet at a 60-degree angle at a blistering speed of 44,640 miles per hour. It caused the mass extinction of three-quarters of all plant and animal species on the Earth.

For the last 30 years our world has changed drastically. You no longer need to visit a store to buy something, information exchange happens in a few milliseconds, and it seems our lives have become better, but did they? The last 30 years were good in terms of technology, but at the same time our lives have become too fast, and it seems we’re constantly running, not noticing how fast time goes by. Maybe our lives in the year 2050 would be a dream, but it’s also possible that it will become a tough time for us, so at some point we will have to limit our technological advancement….

How Our Genes Make Us Who We Are

We are all unique, but despite this, human beings are 99.9% genetically similar to each other, and large chunks of our genome perform similar functions across the animal kingdom. Chimpanzees and even domestic cats are genetically similar to humans. This means that the tiny 0.1% of your genetic code is critical in identifying who you are, what makes you unique from someone else, and what diseases you could develop.

Our DNA is a mystery, but how our genes make us who we are and is it possible to change your genetic code to cure diseases?

Everyone feels sad from time to time. While this is a normal thing and sadness and grief are normal human emotions, there are times when sadness can evolve into something more.

But sometimes you can feel depressed for no reason at all, or you could stay sad for many for a longer than normal time after a traumatic event... unable to get back to the normal feelings of happiness and joy.

If these things sound familiar it could be possible that you have depression.
