Written and directed by Davy Lazare and starring the brilliant Ralph Ineson and Becky Ineson, this moving film highlights the incredible work of the Give A Book charity 🤛

Their mission? To bring the joy of reading to some of the hardest places, reminding us all of the transformative power of books 📚

Absolutely brilliant news to hear that 'Progeny' won Best Horror at the BIFA Qualifying North East International Film Festival last week! ✨

I absolutely loved working on this one. 🙌

Not only was this film a brilliantly conceived and executed project, but it provided an incredible opportunity to push my creative boundaries, as well as test my skills as a sound designer and audio post-producer to match up to the stunning work from the rest of the team. 🎩

A huge round of applause to all involved because this is a true example of the teamworking making the dreamworking. 💭

🎥✨ This is one for the books! Excited to be able to share my work on the short film "2 Hours" for JE Delve! ✨🎥

Written and directed by Davy Lazare for Jamal Edwards' charity, JE Delve, "2 Hours" shines a light on the critical time between 4 and 6 pm in London—when most knife crime incidents happen and youth centres open their doors. The film encourages young people to use these vital spaces to avoid devastating circumstances.

This was a meaningful project, not just for its important message but also for the chance to highlight individual perspectives. Through bespoke sound design, I worked to bring out the fear and isolation that kids can feel on the streets, immersing viewers in their world.

🎮 ✨This week we're looking back at some sound design re-works carried out over the past couple years ✨ 🎮

Re-working sound design is a fantastic way to keep skills sharp and explore new ideas 🥸

I particularly love the creative opportunities that come with animation, given that you are starting with a blank canvas, so it was a a lot of fun to re-design the sound for these two games—Borderlands 3 and Horizon: Zero Dawn—as well as the short animated film Mecanique. 🎧🎶

🎥✨ Looking back to my second short film, "Bully" (2023)! ✨🎥

I had the pleasure of working on this dark comedy, where a dinner party spirals out of control when the host suspects one of his guests is his childhood bully. 🎶

The project was a great opportunity to dive into some really interesting sound design techniques, capturing Steve's unraveling perspective as he battles internal demons.

Richard Glover gave a stellar performance, and the film was brilliantly written and directed by Martin Stocks. 🎬

"Bully" picked up two awards at the Wolverhampton Film Festival in 2024—Best Screenplay and Best Actor. Kudos to the entire team!" 🙌

I would welcome this with open arms.

For too long the audio post and music industry has been stifled by DAW compatibility.

When we have so many different tools that work in their own distinct ways but serve the same purpose, it's about time we had the option to collaborate more effectively across different platforms without the need for clunky file transfers.

🎥✨ Throwback to my work on the Doodledo Caritas '22 Advent Appeal! ✨🎥

I was thrilled to be part of such a meaningful project, not only because of the importance of the campaign, but also for the chance to create a fully custom soundtrack. 🎶

Mike Ashtiany brought the narration to life with his charismatic voice-over, and I had the pleasure of adding orchestral-based music and some fun, original sound design to compliment the amazing animation work from the team at Doodledo. 🎧🎻

Socials Release Video for the signing of Erling Haaland 🤩

These were incredible experiences to be part of, showcasing some major moments for the club over the past few seasons.

The drone stadium fly-through video was a special project from the 21/22 season—created to celebrate Manchester City's Premier League win with fans during a COVID lockdown, when no one could be there in person. It was an incredible way to bring the stadium experience home! 🏆

🎬 WANDERLAND - BAFTA Long List 2023 🎬

A look back at Wanderland—my first "proper" film project—which was longlisted for a BAFTA in 2023! 🎉

The film follows a young girl navigating the seafront in search of her missing alcoholic mother, unfolding over one intense night. Working with the incredibly talented Nicole Pott on this project was an absolute pleasure.

Over the past couple of months I have been busy working on something of a re-brand.

🌞Why now?

🤫Quiet Summer: I took this time to re-design my brand, re-work my marketing channels and re-focus my energy to level up my practice.

🦫Busy Year: After my busiest year to date it was time to put some of the incredible projects I've worked on in the spotlight they deserve.

💱What's changing? I'm ramping up my social media presence, dropping a brand new website and sharing more about the world of and the processes involved in my creative work.

🏈Throwbacks: Whilst I repopulate my feeds with branded content I will be "throwing it back" to some older projects to bring them out of the depths of the portfolio and celebrated in the light of day again!
