It’s been a while but we are back! Summer was crazy busy for us and recording a podcast was the last thing on our minds. The other day Kalani said we haven’t done a podcast in a while so I figured let’s start this back up.

(Part 1) feat. Billy Joe Michel

For this episode I invited artist/mom Billy Joe Michel to talk about the killing of George Floyd and the protests that followed. We talked about her difficulties in singlehandedly raising 3 mixed race children in a still highly racist America. Her 2 daughters Ava and Mikki joined Kalani after the protest in Ocean City for an honest and open discussion of some of the issues they face as children. How can we educate our children now so history doesn’t continue to repeat itself?
