Today the European Parliament is debating a resolution to declared the EU an LGBTIQ Freedom Zone in response to over 100 so-called ‘LGBT-Free zones’ in Poland.

It marks two years since the first Polish municipality declared an ‘LGBT-free zone’ and over 100 other Polish municipalities have followed suit since then.

It’s a strong symbolic gesture, but clear action needs to follow to make this a reality.

In the last week, a great deal of attention is focused on the situation of LGBTI people in Poland, with recent protests and arrests making international news and drawing response from human rights actors. To understand what is happening, it is vital to see the build-up to this moment, as on-going and relentless pressure has been placed on LGBTI people and organisations from the government, religious leaders, anti-rights actors, and the general public. With the help of our member Kampania Przeciw Homofobii we have created this clear and simple timeline – showing how the situation has reached a boiling point.

Do unijnej komisji nadużyć finansowych European Anti-Fraud Office OLAF złożyliśmy z adw.

Jeżeli OLAF przeprowadzi dochodzenie i uzna, że samorządy wydatkowały środki unijne z naruszeniem zasady niedyskryminacji to środki te mogą podlegać zwrotowi wraz z odsetkami.
