The old lady of Turin kicked off their Serie A campaign in style, as man of the hour Andrea Pirlo, delivered as expected. Despite some serious changes brought into the team formation and the playing XI, the Bianconeris adapted really well.
From the intial stages of the game, looked sharp and pushed down backline from time to time. Danilo's out of the box effort was really commendable as it just kissed the crossbar in the opening minutes. The debutants really performed as anticipated. Frabotta exposed the left flank with constant pressure from Ramsey. The Welshman was nosy with the likes of Ronaldo breaking down Blucerchiati's defence line throughout the match. This resulted in the opening goal by Kulusevski who beautifully curled in to find the bottom corner of the net. The loanee from Parma showed some amazing football adapting to Pirlo's footsteps in the midfield as well. Soon after conceding a goal, Sampdoria held the clutches in hand but not for too long. Bonazzoli pressed on high which exposed the wide backline of Juventus a bit.
Ranieri read the transition of play and made 3 abrupt changes in start of the second half. It worked really well as Ramirez created some active chances but Bonazzoli being unable to provide proper finishes to them left them at their ruins. Fabrotta lacked physicality and commited some nutty fouls. In the brink of an equaliser, Bonucci scored an open goal to widen the gap between the two. Soon after, Szczesny's ultimate reflexes helped them to stay afloat without conceding one. Audero's goal line save is still a thing to ponder upon as Juve were denied a goal. It was a night of missed chances for Ronaldo until Ramsey played a well positioned through ball finally beating Audero in the 88th minute to put the 3 points in the bag for the Bianconeris.
