🥀Have you ever found that you have rushed into or settled for a relationship that was just “good enough”....

because you didn’t know you could ask for more...

didn’t feel worthy of receiving what it is you desire...

or simply, weren’t sure what it is that would bring you pleasure and fulfillment in a relationship?⁣

In this week’s episode we explore:⁣

🌹The connection between self abandonment in relationships and our sense of self-worth⁣

🌹How to identify your core beliefs about yourself by using the Downward Arrow Technique

🌹The window of tolerance for pleasure and it’s connection with settling in relationships, self-abandonment and worthiness. ⁣

"There are people who have it worse than me."

"I should be grateful nothing else happened."

"My childhood was good enough, I shouldn't complain."

One of the biggest obstacles to healing and moving forward is not giving ourselves permission to view traumatic experiences as such: traumatic.

This is an attempt to keep ourselves safe from experiencing our emotional pain, so we get it: if an experience wasn't traumatic, then the feelings and triggers associated don't have permission to exist. This means you can continue to avoid your emotional pain associated with the event.

The catch?

Your emotional response to this event STILL exists, but instead of being acknowledged and processed intentionally, it wreaks havoc under the surface.

When we don't give ourselves permission to validate our own, emotional reactions to an event then we keep ourselves in a loop of unconscious, trauma patterns.

In this episode, hosts Dani and Casey discuss the wounding that comes from comparing your trauma to others and the emotional freedom on the other side of naming your trauma and validating your emotional reactions.

To live an embodied life full of love, joy and bliss—means we must become acquainted with the duality of the human experience.

We can’t fully tap into the deep, replenishing wells of joy and love without learning how to be present with feelings of loss, sorrow and grief. This is the duality of our humanness.

In this episode, Dani shares her experience with the unexpected death of her father and her personal journey with the grieving process.

Dani and Casey share insights into:
-How to attune to your inner child to support your emotional processing
-How to set boundaries with yourself and others while navigating grief
-How to attune to yourself as you learn how to be present with your grief

We invite you to use this episode as a support in your own journey as you learn to honor and be present in your own experiences of loss. Or, perhaps, as a guide to supporting someone you love as they navigate their own grieving process.

What is sėxual programming?

This programming includes attitudes, ideas and beliefs about sėx that have been handed down to us from our family of origin, organized religion, societal “norms” or even inherited from our ancestral lineage. ⁣

For many of us, this programming has been the warden—imprisoning us in our shame cycles surrounding sėx and pleasure. ⁣

If you’re feeling disconnected from your body, sėxual self and/or pleasure, it’s time to ask yourself what’s in your programming “backpack”.

This means being curious about what thoughts, ideas and beliefs you carry around sėx and pleasure.

Where did they come from?

Are they yours?

Do you believe them to be true?

Are they serving you?

Do you want to keep them?

Tune into this episode to hear Dani and Casey open up their programming backpacks, peer inside and evaluate it’s contents.

Don’t forget to hit subscribe to join the journey of self-exploration and spiritual growth.
