Purple Hearts reminds us that love stories have different beginnings. Some lovers start as friends, some start from being enemies, and some start from being strangers just wanting something good out of life. Some love stories end up messy, some turn into heartbreaks, and when you're lucky enough, some just make life more meaningful.

Some of us are too excited to fall in love. We think it is all hearts and roses. Some of us are scared. All the "what ifs" make us too terrified to trust and to give our all to someone who could actually break us in the end. But when we think about it, that's what makes love beautiful. All the uncertainties would make us want to be better persons, not just for our partners, but for ourselves.

And marriage? It is really not about falling in love. It is about commitment. It is about trust. It is about respect. It is about sacrifice. It is about forgiving. It is about acceptance. At the end of the day, when you are no longer "in love", what holds you both in marriage is simply LOVE. Because when you trust amidst uncertainty, when you forgive amidst the pain, when you accept amidst the desire to want more, that is LOVE.

So to all of you who are staying home tonight, I recommend this movie to watch. 🥰 And just a piece of unsolicited advice, bring a hanky with you. 😉

Life abroad is never for the faint heart. You’ll be out of your comfort zone - out of the familiar, safe place you’re used to.

Here, the life of your sorrow will eat you up; you will cry suddenly for no apparent reason.
You’ll get frustrated a lot of times.

You can't help but compare your life then in the Philippines with your life now here abroad. You’ll even start giving up on yourself. And you’ll start questioning if you’ve really made the right decision.

You will adjust-to a new life, a new environment, a new person, and a new job.

If you were in the Philippines, you were the boss and you were already at the top, here you will start again at the bottom.

If you apply pride, nothing will happen in your life. Not everyone is lucky enough to find a good job with a big salary.

The others, have graduated and been able to work in a good company in the Philippines but when they come here they will be able to enter any job - waiter, driver, receptionist, kitchen assistant, saleslady and others.

Here, it doesn’t matter what your job is; the important thing is that you support your family with every shipment you make. ♥ ️
