Your first mile is harder than your first marathon
Ever felt like running wasn't for you, like you weren't 'made' for it? So many people are put off because they find jogging, even for a few minutes, really hard. But this is totally normal. Any honest runner will tell you running is a challenge at the start, but it's something that gets easier every time you try.
If you start out slow (much slower than you think), don't go too far, and build up very gradually, you will be amazed at the progress you make. It just takes a little time and patience, and will give you back so much more than you put in.

Running makes you happier, and has a positive impact on your mental health and body image. These are the findings of a study by Glasgow Caledonian University.
Researchers also identified the sense of community runners feel, both in attending social runs and sharing their achievements.

It's World Breastfeeding Week! What better excuse to celebrate super mum and ultrarunner Sophie Power, who famously breastfed her son (and pumped) while completing the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blonc.
To mark the occasion, here are our top tips for breastfeeding runners:
đ€± Get the right bra - You'll probably need a bigger size since having your baby, and it's more important than ever to ensure your well-supported
đ€± Make sure you're well-fuelled - drink plenty of fluids and make sure you nourish yourself with a balanced diet and enough calories
đ€± Nurse before you run - This will ensure you stay comfortable (and your baby is happy while you're gone). If you're going on a longer run you may need to pump in advance to ensure your baby won't go hungry
đ€± Stay local - If you run from home rather than a long drive away you won't have to be away from your baby for hours, and will avoid any discomfort due to prolonged separation
