Ginzan Onsen is the most popular tourist paradise in Yamagata Prefecture. The town is nestled year-round on the mountains and winding along fanciful hot springs. Often called Gion-san, the Gion Festival held at Yasaka Shrine, Kyoto is one of the three biggest festivals in Japan. The festival takes place from July 1 to July 31, lasting for a month with many exciting activities, attracting a lot of tourists to visit, making a great contribution to the tourism economy in Kyoto.
