Today is National Gun Violence Awareness Day. So many lives lost because guns are more important to people. You have the right to bear arms, but NOT any and all kinds. We all have a right to safety, but not at the expense of a lackadaisical approach.

Gun reform is needed. Mental health is needed. The lives lost are the fault of some politicians and NRA who put money and power on a pedestal and turn away when more lock down drills then fire drills are needed in schools. Their thoughts and prayers are now a dime a dozen.

Growing bank accounts are the priority instead of ensuring family dinner every night from that grocery store trip while your child shows you their artwork from school instead of learning how to hide; while wearing new sneakers from the mall.

If you think for one second the clicks from an AR weapon are more important than the click of a screen door closing as your child and their dad run outside; you have been brainwashed. The only thing some politicians are out to get is your hard earned cash while they give you back nothing but fear.

Today and all days I stand for change. I stand for life. I expect to live in a place where smiles are more important than weapons. What do you stand for?

Happy Pride Month! I support LGBTQ+. I support them living their best life and being allowed to be themselves and have equal rights just like any other human on this planet. They are people who know love; harder and more fierce then the rest of us. They are the target of hate and inequality and it MUST stop. They do not deserve to be pushed to the side, forgotten about, or made to feel like they don’t matter in this world. I stand with them as a fellow human to be accepted to live, love, and make this world a much better place. We are not equal until we ALL are equal.
