Life is so fragile and in a single moment, everything can change. We’ll begin to notice the things we took for granted and time we spent sweating the small stuff. Instead of wasting time and energy on being too busy, worrying, or wanting, we need to focus on what’s important. We’re surrounded by blessings every day. The Time of The Awakened Woman.

There comes a time in the life of a woman When she discards her old ways like tossed shoes in the garbage When she shreds her list of "shoulds" and obligations
And when impossible expectations are burned in an incinerator.

There comes a time in the life of a woman When the approval of others once jewels now turn to pennies in her
sock When the hunt for another is now replaced by a hunt for herself
And when parental tentacles of tradition no longer define her truth.

There comes a time in the life of a woman When her desire to fit in with the crowd dissolves When her manic compulsion to be perfect vaporizes
And when her obsession to be voted popular eviscerates.

There comes a time in the life of a woman
When she simply says "no more" When facade, artifice, and guile leave her nauseated
And when righteousness, dogma, and superiority repulse her.

There comes a time in the life of a woman
When she no longer fears conflict but faces it boldly like a lioness
When she guards her authenticity as fearlessly as she guards her
babies
And when she drops the role of savior knowing she can only save
herself.

There comes a time in the life of a woman
When she no longer cowers in the shadows of her unworthiness
When she no longer plays small so others can feel big
And when she swaps the role of victim for the role of co-creator.

There comes a time in the life of a woman
When she unabashedly and boldly occupies her ultimate sovereignty When she finally feels ready to claim her space in the world
And when she redefines compassion as unequivocal self-love.

There comes a time in the life of a woman
When she finally releases her childlike dependencies on others
When she dares to rewrite a new mandate of living for herself
One that says:

I release unworthiness and fear
I divorce servility and passivity
I divest inauthenticity and enmeshment
I end the pretense of being someone I am not

I will ascend into my highest power
I will embrace my greatest autonomy I will celebrate my deepest worth I will embody my fiercest courage
and manifest the most authentic me
The time is now
I am ready
To awaken into my renaissance 🤍

They say you just need that one person in your life.

When my mom couldn’t take care of me, or show up for me, I was fortunate that I got more than one.

My family, friends, educators, peers, social workers, coworkers, parnters, or even complete strangers have showed up for me countless times. These people have played a huge part in my life. They showed me the ways of the world, helped me grow, and made me feel safe. I know not every person is this fortunate.

I have been told that I possess resiliency, but in all honesty, I believe it’s the people that came into my life and allowed me to get through the things that I needed to get through that have helped me become more resilient.

Every moment we all have the ability to change someone’s life. Be the one person. Sending all my love as I sit here with a heart full of gratitude for my people

What’s your definition of healthy?

I’ve been thinking about the wellness industrial complex today which focuses on hustle culture, diet culture, looks, image, illusions that tell us everything we need (social media and society) which all create more “I shoulds” and make us constantly beat ourselves up.

What if healthy or being well is listening to our bodies, our hearts, and those whispers inside of us. What if we focus on the things that bring us joy like our kids, partners, fur babies, family, acts of kindness, concerts, the outdoors, friendships, hobbies, our favorite foods, adventure, exploring, learning, etc…

What if we create our own wellness world within us?

The way we feel is way more important the way we look. The key to well-being is the same as it’s been for thousands of years. Nobody can really sell it to you.

If you are on a journey to wellness, finding inner peace, or working on manifesting your dreams, this is very insightful. This chart shows which emotions are the highest vibrating to the lowest. It could be helpful to ask yourself what you feel most of the time? Consistent breath and meditation can help and intentionally doing the things that make you feel good such as eating healthier, staying hydrated, getting good sleep, creative projects, hobbies, exercise, serving others, journaling and gratitude practice, reading, being outdoors, etc.

Spreading love, compassion, and awareness for parentified children today. There are many adults and children that have endured the emotional abuse of being parentified.

What is parentification? A child that takes on a functional role such as household responsibilities or care for parents/siblings or emotional regulator for parents. What are the possible symptoms in adulthood?

✔️A caretaker- Feels good. This can be their sense of value in the world and how needs are met.

✔️Constantly anxious and or chronically hypervigilant (always scanning for threats and always reading moods and minds around them)

✔️Neglect of their own mental and physical healthcare needs

✔️Isolate when emotionally overwhelmed

✔️Can be called controlling or overly responsible

✔️ Have a hard time trusting people

✔️Feel chronically lonely and misunderstood

✔️Fear of being engulfed or consumed in a relationship

✔️Memories around childhood are difficult to access. Especially those about play and joy

✔️Don’t like to be vulnerable or feel unsafe when they are

✔️Feelings of guilt, shame, and blame

✔️Highly self reliant

✔️The peacemaker

Parentification can be heavy for the child that has had this experience. Awareness helps and there is help and support through trauma therapy, inner child work, and other options. I feel called to do some work in this space for others as I’ve work very hard on healing this. Lmk if you would like resources. Sending love and light.

There are 12 trails to explore with easy to difficult options. It’s such a beautiful area and perfect right now for playing in the snow ❄️ ☃️

If you’re an overachiever or if you always feel like you have to be the energizer bunny, or fix everything, listen👂 up….

YOU NEED YOUR REST!!!! It’s so important to slow down. Your mind, body, and soul needs rest. Your heart 🫀and brain 🧠 need rest to function right.

The stress and go, go, go, eventually manifests into burnout, different forms of illness, or for some people, a total collapse. I learned that my trauma response was what made me feel like I always had to be doing something, overachieving, or taking care of people, and I still have to remind myself to rest and slow down, all of the time.

When life gets crazy or when overwhelm hits, I learned to breathe 🧘‍♀️ I learned to force myself to take breaks. I learned how to meditate. I learned to take care of myself and not feel guilty about it. I learned I don’t have to solve everyone’s problems. I’m still learning.

I want to wish you a happy, healthy, stress free and peaceful 2023 my loves and ask you to take as much time for rest as you do for work and others. Much love to you!!! ♥️♥️♥️
