Meet The Konkorrack, a new creature from Librus Nocturnum ( https://5ehorror.com/ ).

Konkorracks are created when a creature consumes the life force of other beings. They are capable of living for hundreds of years, but at a terrible cost - they become twisted, cursed husks of their former selves, plagued by an unending desperation to consume the youth of others.

These are social creatures and shapeshifters who inject themselves into a community like a silent virus. They assume the role of a friendly neighbor or a loving spouse, putting forth a convincing facade. The Konkorrack sees everyone around them as nothing more than livestock from which to draw its youth.

Meet The Lantern Lurker, an original creature from our upcoming book, Librus Nocturnum (Kickstarter: http://bit.ly/3ImV30L). A ghoulish specter born from remnants of necromancy magic, the lantern lurker haunts locations rife with bloodshed and grief, preying on those overshadowed by strife or weakened by war.

The lantern-lurker is invisible by day, remaining in the border-ethereal until night falls. Only once darkness settles across the region does it emerge into the Material Plane, bringing with it a flickering lantern which allows it to remain in a corporeal state for as long as it remains burning. It uses this light to lure its prey towards areas of great danger, though it always chooses to land the killing blow itself, if it can. Once its target has been killed, the lantern-lurker enters the border-ethereal and consumes the creature’s soul before it has a chance to pass on, and uses the raw energy contained within it to fuel the lantern’s glow for another few hours.
