Start where you are and track your progress via the fitting of your clothes when you don’t see the scale numbers move.

There are going to be days when you have a moment of relapse but don’t feel like you have to STOP doing your exercises and healthy eating. I had a relapse for three days straight with different foods but I got myself back on track and each day I still exercised even though I was emotionally eating my grief from losing my daughter and dealing with other personal setbacks.

I was still proud of myself because there would have been a time I would have stopped exercising and continued the emotional eating for months at a time. I noticed the change and I celebrated that progress and I was grateful it wasn’t worse. 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

I don’t like leaving the house hungry because I smell every ingredient when I pass someone house or restaurant. Like, ooooo is that 4 shakes of paprika, 2 teaspoons of honey and 3 pieces of smoked turkey I smell. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

Start over as often as you need to in order to achieve your goals but don't give up and don't allow people to discourage you because you aren't where they want you to be.

I love to see weight loss coaches and personal trainers who are patient with their clients and help them through their challenges and fears of working out.

Having an Emotional Eating Disorder, it is important for me to find funny movies, tv series etc to help keep my mind occupied so that my recent triggered event doesn't have me eating to disassociate from a familiar place of pain, hurt, discomfort or betrayal.

"Mr Monk and the L***r" is my new favorite episode at this time and although I've seen it before, I laugh as though it's the first time. Believe me, ever since my daughter passed away almost a year ago, it's hard to make me laugh, smile or giggle but that episode do it every time.

With an Emotional Eating Disorder, adjusting to different types of grief at the same time is not easy for me so l have to be patient with myself and I have to give myself grace as l maneuver through healing, new daily routines and acceptance of each loss and lesson. My comfort foods are few but I usually pile up on them during an emotional episode/event in my life.
Recently, the death of my daughter has been so devastating I can't eat until I feel nauseous from not eating and sometimes that's two days out. Recreating Desirea
