๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฏ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ป (July 30, 1945 โ May 12, 2024) was a musician and songwriter best known for his work as an alto saxophonist and pianist. One of the most commercially successful saxophonists in the history of recorded music, Sanborn was described by many as "the most influential saxophonist on pop, R&B, and crossover players of the past 40 years." His music is often identified with radio-friendly smooth jazz, and his solo recordings typically blended jazz with instrumental pop and R&B.

From 1988 to 1989, he co-hosted ๐๐๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐ช๐จ๐๐, a late-night music show on television with ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐น๐ ๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ. During his lifetime he won six Grammy Awards, earned eight gold albums, and one platinum album.
