// Channel Update
Hello Everyone.
It is I, your Taicho. Yes, I'm alive... barely. After a very long hiatus, I have found time to start streaming again. Atleast, a little bit. I wanted to share some updates first so here we go.
First of, streaming started as a side-hustle for me. But in a bid to grow my channel it became a full-time job, given the amount of time I was putting into it. Trying to find a format that was efficient and produced consistent, quality content meant I had to do a lot of things which were 'not-streaming'. This included scheduling posts, editing videos, planning streams and YT uploads, uploading and scheduling YT videos etc. I ended up so deep in this rabbit hole, all that was needed was one surprise delivery of lemons to throw me off balance. Now after this break period and some introspection, I am ready to take a crack at it once more. But with a new format.
In the new format, there will be a change in how and where I share updates. I will be streamlining some things, so you can expect less daily updates, which in my observation lacked enough substance to be worthwhile. I will be experimenting with different update formats, especially those that involve short reels/stories.
I will also be more flexible with my stream schedule, and will do more casual streams vs planned streams. I will still post what new game I am starting, but will not maintain a strict schedule for it. The idea is to give myself more breathing room and make playing that game a fun activity, not a chore that needs to be done.
Lastly, there is Youtube. I initially had planned to use YT as a platform where I could upload content that would stay there. However, this was the deepest part of the rabbit hole I found myself in. Trying to fit my content to YT standards meant I was spending sleepless hours at night, editing playthrough videos. This was bad for my schedule and I stopped myself before it got worse. I am still unsure of where to take my Youtube channel from here, but one thing is certain, I will not be uploading episodic playthrough series. All games I planned as YT playthroughs, will instead shift over to my streaming list. I will find another use for Youtube.
That's about all the major things I wanted to talk about. There are some other things in the works, but I will share them as things progress. I am not out of it yet. That supply of lemons I got still hasn't run out, and I can only drink so much lemonade at a time. So things will be slow at first and subject to rapid changes. But I am confident that things will improve overtime.
