Last week our radio station was in the process of moving our studio’s location. The station was streaming live, but was off the air and there was some program interruptions including “Tales from Tolt” But the move is complete and we’re back on the air! Tonight‘s episode is:

On next Monday’s episode we explore the history behind the Sawmill’s and Shingle Mills that were so important to the Snoqualmie Valley’s economy in years gone by. Joining me Is Steve Davidson, previous sawyer for Davis Mill in Carnation and former employee of Weyerhaeuser, and Allen Miller a former employee of the Milwaukee Railroad Depot that was located at the Weyerhaeuser Sawmill in Snoqualmie.

The stakes were high in this intense battle of dominance for the Snoqualmie Valley. The Great Northern and the Milwaukee Road were rivals and their branch lines through the Snoqualmie Valley was only the beginning of future expansion plans both lines had.
