Thoughts on clear baits?
•
These Py Poppers from are great little baits for having top water fun. I would say it’s my favorite time of year to use poppers but I seriously can’t think of a time of year I don’t throw a popper😂 fall for moving bait pods, winter for casting near structure that holds warmth all day, spring to be like popping bluegill, summer because summer. Really versatile. Plus these are saltwater safe, so great for seeing what you could catch.

Little inshore top water magic🔥
•
I thought for sure this was gonna get bit last time I went out, but alas the wind said nah.
This Py Popper paired with the 7’ micro game travel rod is perfect for saltwater bfs. To me this is the definition of a “do it all” bfs rod. I’ve casted down to about 1.2 grams and up to 12 grams with it. I’ve caught big seatrout and redfish and it consistently has slayed in saltwater. I even put sometime in south Florida and caught some nice sized peacock bass!

Tsurinoya Hurricane X Fox Hunting🔥
•
This combo is easily the best bang for your buck with inshore BFS or as I like to call it, Salt Finesse! With a 7’3 rod you can get great distance and leverage while fishing flats for inshore species like reds, trout and flounder. The hurricane is also a great value reel you can beat up and not have to worry about babying it like the 300-400 BFS reels on the market. I paired this combo together to throw around jighead baits like this 3.5” jerk Shadz! I promise in the next couple it’s gonna be a great time for inshore finesse fishing.

Tested out the new Y BFS! Here’s some thoughts
•
This is a rod that ISNT just for kayak fishing. It’s for fishing in general: bank, wade, and kayaks. Honestly when I first got it I was worried that the magnet system would put weird balance on the rod, but actually it’s super ideal! I personally love how it feels. They even chose my favorite reel seat I use for custom rods, the SKS skeleton style reel seats. You can feel the blanks sensitivity when resting your hand around the reel due to the open blank seat. I highly recommend this rod. I’ll work on a detailed video for this rod soon.

Get Crappie ready with x !

This is absolute staple is in my bag no matter what I fish for but it is my first bait thrown every time if I’m targeting CRAPPIE, SPECKLED PERCH, SAC-A-LAIT whatever you wanna call them. It’s a great search bait, targeting bait or really however you wanna fish it. The Cyarl Blade
•
I’ve posted of this bait before but I love talking about it because it’s a super unique offering for top water. Almost gives me the popper vibes where the Willow style blades can create surface disruption while you burn it. What makes also more fine tuned for top water is the upturned hooks on the chin and rear. I definitely recommend checking it out!

The Jackall Abbey Minnow
•
This little crank is actually designed as a Light Game (saltwater bfs) bait for covering ground. Personally speaking I think breaking down a spot can be a super great transition from just fishing to intentionally fishing to convert for higher catch rates. Learning your baits and what those baits represent can be a great way to learn what works effectively and capitalizing. This bait is a great representation of what I call “discovery” baits. It’s effective at working fast and mixing up retrieves to look for active fish areas. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Coming at yall with another juicy bait setup…

The @gomexus_us Shark Bites • I’ve never been one to like the whole Easy Nipper combos because they always seem to be made out of low grade plastic that falls apart. Well gomexus skipped that step by creating all metal versions that are ridiculously high quality at a fantastic price point. Been loving my new Kuying Teton Electric Shock Rod! • If you’ve ever wanted to get what might be the lightest BFS rod available on the market, this is it for a great price. @baitfinesseempire has them for a fantastic price in my opinion. If you’re someone who predominantly fishes ultralight lures for bluegill, bass, or crappie this is such a fun rod for it. I’ve enjoyed messing around with this @loongzeusa Air DBC • I’ve been super excited to put this reel through the paces. It’s interesting seeing an electromagnetic braking system with a ton of customization like this. Rated 1-20 grams, so far the lowest I’ve tested is 1.8 grams, and the heaviest is this lure in the video, a pompano jig.
