Two Canada geese are recovering from serious burns after a flock of about 15 landed in the La Brea Tar Pits in late July. The geese, one of the local urban flocks, mistakenly touched down on the Los Angeles Natural History Museums’ famed sticky asphalt on July 31. Seven birds were rescued and taken to the Los Angeles Wildlife Center in San Pedro for treatment from injuries caused by the heated tar, according to the nonprofit International Bird Rescue....
