NASHVILLE, Tennessee — The funeral service for legendary country music star and Southern rocker Charlie Daniels will be live-streamed Friday. As previously reported, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member will be memorialized at a public service at 11 a.m. Friday at World Outreach Church, 1921 State Hwy 99 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Oklahoma native Vince Gill, Travis Tritt, Gretchen Wilson and Trace Adkins will perform to honor the life of Daniels. The service will be led by SiriusXM's Storme Warren and pastor Allen Jackson, according to a news release.

“I want to begin by acknowledging the passing of a great Tennessean. A legend in country music, an iconic man, Charlie Daniels…we will honor the life of Charlie Daniels by lowering the capitol flags from sunrise to sunset on July the 10th,” said Gov. Lee.Daniels died Monday morning at TriStar Summit Medical Center in Hermitage at the age of 83. Doctors determined the cause of death to be a hemorrhagic stroke.

Daniels, best known for hits such as ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia,’ and ‘Long Haired Country Boy,’ was a singer, guitarist, and fiddler. He performed at the White House, the Super Bowl, throughout Europe and often for troops in the Middle East. He played himself in the 1980 movie ‘Urban Cowboy’ starring John Travolta.

Charlie Daniels’ funeral service at World Outreach Church (1921 State Highway 99, Murfreesboro, Tenn.) on July 10 will be live streamed at 11 a.m. CT. Travis Tritt, Vince Gill, Gretchen Wilson and Trace Adkins will perform during the service.

The service will be live streamed via World Outreach Church’s page and website, as well as The Charlie Daniels Band page and YouTube channel. A private burial will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.
