Em Støy, the multi-instrumentalist behind Fryktelig Støy (Norwegian: ‘Horrible Noise’), has released her debut long play, ‘Disappointment.’

The album is a bleak confrontation of violence and betrayal, told through famous female muses in a first-person narrative.

The ‘Disappointment’ album is mournful, scornful, grim, heavy, swinging on a back beat, bleak and defiant - black metal that goes deeper with repeat listening.

A huge thanks to everyone who came to last nights show. It’s a privilege to be able to put on shows and genuinely heart-warming to see people turn up to support local extreme music.

On top of that it was great to be able to pull together a strong local lineup with a mix of old and new bands. Stagnation is death and the health of a scene that runs off the back of little else besides peoples drive to create something can be measured by the flow of people willing to take that leap and also peoples interest in supporting it.

Thanks to Serpentum and Hebephrenique – we’ll be looking out with interest for anything you do in future.

Sorry to have missed Sightblinder (hope you are feeling better soon), hopefully we can get you on a future bill.

Also cheers to Bad Luck for making a such agreat space available for for all things weird, loud and noisy.

This was the first show in what will hopefully be many more shows where true to our mission we’ll be trying to focus on quality lineups from within our region.

Next up on the GPC front - We’ve got a few exciting releases coming up very soon.
