As many of you have probably seen already, I won’t be competing at
First of all, I want to apologize to the organizer, the fans, and everyone involved over there. I’m 100% sure it’s going to be an amazing event, AS ALWAYS.
I very rarely mix my professional career with politics, but I honestly feel things have gone too far.
The main reason I’m not coming is partly financial, but it’s also because of the incredibly disappointing experience I had at the previous TrialGP rounds. I’m simply not willing to spend that much of my own money to travel to the UK, only to arrive and find/risk that FIM has come up with another confusing decision that nobody seems to understand.
I’ve worked my entire life to reach TrialGP, and it’s heartbreaking to see what, in my opinion, is happening to the championship because of the way it’s being managed by FIM.
There is little to no communication from FIM with the riders or the spectators. It feels like our opinions don’t matter, and that nobody is listening to the people who are actually part of this sport. I think that’s incredibly sad.
I truly love this sport, and I hope something changes soon. I know my opinion probably won’t change anything, but I also believe it’s important to speak up when something doesn’t feel right.
