📝 5 IMPORTANT THINGS TO RECOGNIZE IN YOUR PRAYER JUNE EDITION WITH PASTOR CHRIS

✍️ In the New Testament, we pray in the Name of Jesus.
John 16:23 “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give [It] you.”
Legally, it makes no sense to pray to Jesus in the name of Jesus. I cannot make a demand of you in your name. You pray to the Father in the name of Jesus.
What does that imply?
When you pray in the name of Jesus it's as though Jesus is asking for it. It is out of your hands.
When you use the name of Jesus, don't worry about your faith.
The name operates.
The name is a tool.
The name is an instrument
Demons have to bow to the name of Jesus.
✍️ The work and effect of righteousness.
Once you understand this, it will change your life forever.
Hebrews 10:16-22 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”
✍️ We are the executors of his will.
John 20:21 “Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.”
If he is sending us the same way the Father sent him, He empowered us with the same power that He had. God will hear you when you pray, in the same way that he heard Jesus.
Matthew 28:18-19 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
Prayer has become a partnership with God. We are together with him on the same side, executing his will on the earth.
His will is revealed in our spirits.
When you walk in righteousness, it's impossible for you to ask for the wrong thing. In walking in righteousness, there is no selfishness. Walking in righteousness is walking in Love. Love is God's nature.
Prayer in the New Testament is carrying out God's will and purpose. That's what brings the Joy in prayer.
✍️ We are heirs of the covenant.
We are not in covenant with God. Acts 3:25, Deuteronomy 5:2-3
Galatians 3:27-29 “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
We are HEIRS according to the promise.
What does that mean?
What do I ask for?
What can I pray for?
✍️ Joint-Heirs with Christ.
Romans 8:16-17 “The Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
We are Heirs of God and Joint heirs with Christ
1 Corinthians 3:19-23 “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
So what are you asking for? This is either true or false. All things are yours.
If it is true, Acts like it. Think like it. Walk like it. Have the mentality of it. The word of God should give you a way of thinking. Change your way of thinking.
Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Only allow that which is consistent with the word of God to pass through.
The whole world is ours. You'd better think like that. See life that way. You represent Jesus in the earth. You are standing for Christ in your city or country. You are the light of the world.
Why are we praying?
We are not asking for things for ourselves or praying so things can be fine for us. No, We are not trying to make our lives. Better. We already have a great life in Christ Jesus. We are doing this to bring the world into consistency with the Father's will.
Why do we want men saved? Because of what Jesus did.
Why do we want peace? So that the gospel can have free course.
It is in the gospel that the Righteousness of God is revealed...and that is the greatest thing in the world.
